No. you don't *just* multiply the denominators to get the LCD. There are situations where you can do that, but that is NOT the general way. Watch my video again carefully.

It should not have mattered if they were 6's or b's to do that problem. By the way, I recommend you print the PDF Notes (on my website) before watching the videos. This should help. Also, try watching in "high quality" mode in full screen.
