Hey amigo, tengo un problema... instalo el ubuntu, como sistema operativo unico en mi pc... la cosa es que, cuando quiero acceder a internet, me dice que no encuentra la pagina... bien, el caso es que no puedo acceder a nigun sitio web... intente instalar una version anterior, pero no!... sigue igual... que puedo hacer?... espero su respuesta!

i heard theyre changing default theme to look mor Mac style and put the close, maximize, and minimize on the left side of the windows. But i have also read that there is a way to get it back to the right side but i dont know until they officially release it.

A nicer gnome default theme/look for 10.04 would be nicer. It all just looks too jaunty/karmic.

What's shown is pretty much 9.10 layout with a 10.04-number slapped on it.

They're ramping up for a MAJOR theme-overhaul (it's going to be purple and black instead of orange and brown), and it's going to be in 10.04.

Interesting times ahead.

Report some bugs then to get them fixed before the release! I did that lots of times and the bugs were fixed within days. I even got informed about the status, not like when you send in an error report to Microsoft. They never answer...

What I do is install Ubuntu "beside" my Windows 7 to get the best of both worlds.

Windows 7 dosnt work well with Ubuntu or any Linux distro. Some of the windows 7 updates overwrite the grub loader.

Right now, 9.10 is the latest. Yes.

10.04 isn't officially released yet. But you can still download it to test/play with from the Ubuntu website.

8.04 = 8th edition A, 4th month

8.10 = 8th edition B, 10th month

9.04 = 9th edition A, 4th month

9.10 = 9th edition B, 10th month

10.04 = 10th edition A, 4th month (So expect it around April)

This is only alpha release. "Normal" version of 10.4 will be release in April 2010.

even though i only started programming about a yr or so... i can tell u guys this. what you see usually does not reflect the amount of programming/coding done. it is very simple to change the way things looks (usually anyways) its the way the OS is structured and all the amazing things in the background that we dont see that takes AGES to do. :)
