  • No volume?

  • where's the sound?

  • She forgot to factor in the many "experiments" in which people have been able to acurately report details concerning places they've never been after traveling there out of body. I guess their "befuddled nervous systems" just consistantly (and accidentally) got it right. I could create a non-functional mockup of this page. I guess that would be proof that YouTube doesn't work. Nice try.

  • This is Miss-information smear propaganda, what an ignoramus woman. Don't listen to this poison do your own research and experience it for yourself. I suspected for a long time that this phony crisis engineered by the elite is used as scare tactics to put people into submission. But, We are awakening to a grander truth of our eternal existence and ever blissful state. The elite is loosing the control no more slaves and its infuriating them. Experience your own OBE & realize you are a free spirit

  • fuck a illuminati controlled media!!! death to the system!!!

  • i had to stop watching after 20 seconds, this lady's voice makes me wanna shoot myself in the head.

  • what a crock

  • This is a very half hearted approach to oobe's.. Yet again these scientists are not thorough in there research. There are many cases of people having nde's when all brain activity has stopped. I.e. Clinically dead. How can the brain produce hallucinations and neural alctivity when the brain is completely dead? Sorry these experimentations prove nothing.

  • @manners75 I hear you. We are a scientific group conduction experiements on dream sharing and would invite you to participate if curious about the subject. The idea is to try to meet others in the dream space and try to exchange passwords

wake up in your dreams.com if curious?

  • it's kinda like riding a virtual rollercoaster an saying actual rollercoasters don't exist.

  • so jst cuz the brainless bimbo reading the teleprompter says theres nothing outside of our realm its clearly true? oh dear god ima kill myself now

  • No, no, no, I've been having OBEs since childhood and there is far more to them than what these experiments are revealing about the real thing. The experiments they do can be duplicated with a mirror and your hands. Put one hand in front of the mirror and one hand behind the mirror and open and close both hands simultaneously, but look at the reflection of the hand in the mirror and it will feel like your hand behind the mirror is in the mirror. This is not the same as the real thing.

  • Blinded by science! The projected form does make some impression upon the physical system. The physical body loses a small amount of weight during projection, and it is possible for the nonphysical one to be detected...It is a kind of pseudo-image, materialistically speaking, but it has definite electromagnetic reality and chemical properties. Animals often react to the chemical properties and build up to the perception of the images from these. Experiment again.

  • The OBE involves a visceral feeling of being embodied in a more subtle body away from the physical body itself, often with exotic "energetic," "take-off" and "re-interiorization" sensations. The VR experiment volunteers did not feel they were no longer present in their body and did not report these other characteristics of the OBE (much more numerous than the 3 selected by the researchers).

  • For a more balanced and intellectual view that is not founded on belief (neither professionally skeptic nor faith-based), I recommend the International Academy of Consciousness, one of the few training organizations out there that balance a rational, practical perspective with promoting actual experience, which is the only way one can make a qualified judgment. And they have an active research program in remote perception, for instance.

  • 64 voters still in denial.

    NDE's & OBE's are all in the mind. :)

  • @dirtydonki Of course there is no proof that NDE's/OBE's are "all in the mind." Yet, there is evidence pointing to the hypothesis that it is NOT merely illusory, such as research on the Near-Death Experience by Dr. Pim van Lommel, Michal Sabom, Peter Fenwich, Sam Parnia and others. When one can have an OBE and verify facts at a distance, more than once, it is hard to pass it off as imaginary. But one has to have the curiosity and guts to actually find out for oneself - or stay happily oblivious.

  • @patagao Smell that BULLSHIT!

  • i like Ms. Bohner a lot...she has energy >.>

  • Bohner? Really?

  • someone is paying her to spew the party line

  • like.. *BAM 9/11 .. anchoring people

  • this is a higgly piggly mess. I have astral traveled so much to know this is too mainstream with lame ass evidence. there are other ways to prove it's real, but the most essential is to do it yourself, so without a doubt you know. Don't take no one elses word for it. not even mine. :)

  • @imfreeinfinity i tried dude, but i keep falling asleep =/ three years of being open minded and attempting this sober has led to zero results. part of me feels guilty for trying to escape world problems when i should be helping things, not escape into an astral world of fantasy! i think this attitude contributes to world apathy: too much escapism, too much "internet bile" clogging our lives! we gotta RELEARN how to read and write!

tell me how though, because i can't afford a vacation!

  • @alexp9999 I think it's true that one can make better use of the time on Earth by helping others and developing oneself. And I've found that the OBE brings a more enhanced perspective and insight into everyday life, a deeper sense of purpose and contact with spiritually advanced fellow beings. Instead of an escape, the mature OBEr uses this natural skill to accelerate his growth and that of fellow humans.

  • Believe what you want. I know it's real. I've experienced real OBE.

  • what ever !

  • Amazing the lengths that people will go to to try to explain away their own spiritual nature.

  • this doesnt proof at all, its completely different

  • This is just fooling the senses... if you want to actually know more about OoB check out Tom Campbell...

  • Nice Try

  • We are researching the between lives area over at Freezone_Earth Yahoo Group.

  • Why would you listen to someone who has never had an obe. we are pure abstract self aware conciousness. they should try the experiment where they place a card with a number 20 ft on some platform let the subject meditate in the next room, observe both rooms until she gets in the trance state then astral project into the next room and retrieve the data from the card. that will definitely shut this woman up! I did didn't believe in this stuff until it happened to me.

  • wtf does this only have 2 stars for? She did a wonderful job. 5 stars!

  • i'd like to learn more about these spontaneous boners. oh shit, i mean OBE's. (i said it, but you know everyone else was thinking it)

  • It tells us that you're an idiot. This is a sensation of being outside the body, but it in now way explains the things that are experienced in an actual out of body experience.

  • This only proves that she never had an OBE befor,,,,end of story

  • BS. I dont buy it. Some people are pronounced clinically dead with no brain activity what so ever when they experience these NDEs.

  • Bullshit , I had many OBEs ... the ignorance ..

  • Comment removed

  • Wow ignorance.. haha

  • The rubber hand illusion? You got to be kidding.

  • The start of the video made me believe I'd found a porno site.

The lady didn't seem to know a thing about OOBs. Never read a book on the subject.

She needs to read "My Big Toe" by Thomas Campbell or the "Journeys Out of the Body" by Robert Moore

  • @notefinger Hi JOE ZAPPIA was taking to sunshin hopitalon 4 of nov to 11 of nov 2009 with a out of body experience. The out of body experiences that the university experiments does not match up with have a out of body experiences. THERE IS LOTS MORE THEN THAT WITH THE EXPERINENTS IT IS REAL DEATH EXPERIENE.

  • @notefinger OBE

  • @notefinger her name is kate bohner, doesnt it sound like boner?

  • @notefinger isn't it Robert Monroe ? and not Moore.

  • @philinmotion Yeb. Mistakes were made.

  • I agree This lady is stupid and annoyng too! OMG~.....

  • OMG she's an idiot

  • I'm often amazed at the lengths many are willing to go to disprove something that scares, or mystifies them. The need to create a physical explanation, for something that quite clearly goes beyond physicality itself.

And the odd thing is, it is usually those who belittle individuals or groups who subscribe to a belief in a creator. Still they cannot see how they are doing to the same thing in reverse. Making up physical explanations to ease their own fears. I find the irony hysterical.

  • No kidding - like I am an atheist in a political way, and yet I consider the OBE (especially the reciprocal OBEs) as evidence of an afterlife.

  • How about just simply proof that consciousness extends beyond both body, and life...

It's a personal experience that no one can REALLY prove as being real, except to themselves....And for those who won't even take time to experiment with having the experience themselves, there is no sense sharing with!

  • BS.

  • is she tryna prove that obes are not real??

  • On a molecular level???? Sounds so scientific!

  • A test in switzerland might be a clue..

Switzerland is where the Rothchild family elites bloodline have their homes / Mansions..It is bull shit when you start thinking who is behind the source of the OBE debunking science.. All I have to say is: ARE we confused when we are dreaming? Where the so called prophets of biblical text confused when they had a OBE?

Even the religious doctrine of a raptsure is a OBE concept.

I not religious But the points are based in religious belief

  • so everyone who has had an oobe were confused? Everyone who had a NDE was confused? THERE ARE MILLIONS of similar stories. This is BS

  • e for effort.i could so rip this if i wanted but i like the game.

  • This is such a sad attempt at dismissing OBEs. You can simulate many experiences of life but that does not discount ACTUAL experience. With hypnosis one can simulate the feeling of eating cake...a person might actually even think that they can taste it....because i can 'simulate' an experience does that then prove that the experience does not occur in the real world??? This video makes very little sense in its argument.

  • You're probably talking about virtual OBEs, aren't you (are you talking about virtual reality)?

I can have sex with five Jennifer Lopezes at once through whatever simulation is seemingly described here.

  • Not really actually. You may remember that Monroe's work in trying to get us outside of our body was about confusing the brain via cross-hemispheric interference with square waves nonetheless. ; - ) Neurotheology shows that OOBE is based in the neurology.

  • you people couidn't come out w/ something worst this video sucks!

  • This phenomenon she describes is like watching a movie about going to the moon. A real OBE is like actually going to the moon.

  • see though, this is the way that science can explain phenomenon in their own terms, for scientists, they like to have some type of quantifiable measureable"proof" that things exist.

  • Sure, but this isn't the answer to OOBEs. I'm writing a book at the moment concerning this ability/gift/talent, call it what you may! This research is as dead end as Michael Persinger's research using electomagnetic waves to stimulate the temporal lobes and the theories of DR Susan Blackmoore. Even the Monroe institute pushes it!

Answers seem to be coming from quantum physics and research by Rick Strassman into DMT (Di-Methyl-Tryptamine)...

  • That's because the OOBE is one of the natural processes of consciousness. Who said the out of body experience was supernatural? So technically your right.

  • Why do retards like you don't make an effort in reading and studying so-called "paranormal" activities?

I'd been a highly dogmatic skeptical, but some years ago I got over myself and started studying the paranormal and made an AMAZING discovery.

There is proof for all the stuff I've never believed in. Not just proof, but highly, scientific EVIDENCE! It's just supressed by dogmatic ignorants at universities such as yourself.

  • COMPLETE BULLS...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • she is completely dismissive about the entire phenomenon. this video is nothing... but a waste of time

  • So obvious they are clueless about the obe phenomenon. Until you have one personally, should you even begin to discuss it.

  • virtual reality enough said

this aint no fucking video game

  • they are just making assumptions in this video

  • f--k scientologists.

  • This lady is so ignorant of the real thing. I will lower the rating of this video. It´s not worth watching for those of us looking for the real thing.

  • This video actually explains nothing.

What they explain with these experiments is nothing more then playing with the test subject mind. Its Nothing like the real thing.

An OOBE is very personal, and only those who experience it, 'know', what its really like.

It can be proven only on a personal level, but that doesn't mean its not real.

Because it is REAL. We ARE more than our physical body!!

Science can never duplicate an OOBE, 'cause its to hard to grasp for most scientists.

  • I've had an OOBE and so has my sister. For me, it changed my world - I knew my consciousness can exist apart from my body. What I felt in the astral planes was amazing. Unless you've had an OOBE, you are not qualified to talk about it, unless you do so with an open mind. My sister was able to see things in the hospital when it happened that she wouldn't have been able to see had her vision remained in her body. She was under the anaesthesa and could see everything going on from the the ceiling.

  • Governments have dones tests with this, by putting numbers on the tops of curtains in hospital operating theatres which patients would not be able to see walking and lying down while the operation was underway. So many patients have experienced floating up to the top of the room and looking down on the proceedings of the operation that the government decided to do some tests on it. OOBE are real. Mental debate against something life changing and that you are scared of is empty. Superficial.

  • Wow, That explains very little about out of body experiences.

Explain this for me please, One night i was laying in my bed to go to sleep, and suddenly i was expieriancing normal OBE signs(vibration, loud sound) when i left my body, well at least i think so, and was in my room, seen my body, went through my door, and looked into my living room, and looked at the tv, then i returned to my body, and the same show was on... i left my body.

  • what an a hole!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Yet, another angle at 'debunking' any data that exists outside of "the establishments" construct of their truths. I can honestly say that I've had several out of body experiences throughout my life and let me tell you; never was I ever "nervous" or "confused" when they occured! In fact, I didn't know such a thing was possible!

Anyone whose ever had such an experience know that you will never look at life or RELIGION the same again and that's why there's such an effort to debunk, us knowers!

  • Thank you. The human ego has a need to have a logical (mind made) explanation for anything and everything. I'm very grateful I don't need to buy into the (science has figured it all out) explanation. Quantum reality knows that spirit and spirituality is as real as anything we can see or touch.

  • ok... but how come i can do it without goggles?

  • She makes bucks out of this. At least cut the fancy Kate

  • This reporter doesn't know what the hell she is talking about. She is merely parroting what some other people have said as if it was fact.

  • These tests don;t prove anything at all, all they are trying to do is "replicate" the out of body experience thats it, unless you've had it urself, u dont know shit, no matter how many scientist u cram into a room filled with mind control technologies. Wen u hav an OBE, u can feel emotion, touch, sight, hear, go thru walls etc, trying to disprove that, just shows that either there scared, or hav no clue, beyond the physical.

  • LOL well, that's a great experiment, and it makes sense but how does that prove or explain that going out of body conciously while sleeping is just an illusion? is almost like explaining or proving that the reality we live in is just a dream or "Not Real" is hard to prove. I'm not convinced by this video.

  • Ok but it dont explain how people describe plasced outside hospitals or people born blind tell you how it looks like outside the hosp.

  • you're ugly

  • to say the least, this is interesting!

  • Out of body.. hmmmmm :-)

  • I love the pictures in this piece -- or drawings -- good job to your camera man!

  • When looking at the title it brings many things to mind, astral traveling and related things. But the rubber hand thing is so reminisant of when I did a lot of hypnosis back in the 70s. I could make people beleive most anything. But being from one of those families who people come to when they need a reading, I've seen many people show up who needed help, and many who have just died. (Sorry about getting out of of line before. Trouble you wouldn't beleive!) Best regards.

  • As reported this month in the Journal of Science, two groups of scientists conducted tests using virtual reality goggles, a stick and a video camera to mimic out-of-body experiences. Is it science or science fiction? Tune in to Part 1 of our two-part series "Out of Body ... New Data!"
