FYI, that dot in the silicone is where they injected it into the mold during the manufacturing process. Its going to be on all the cases. It don't seem to be a noticeable in black as it does in other colors.
I had the same problem lining up the silicone with the hard plastic. I ordered two of them, and my wife's version fit on hers perfectly the first time. I tried mine 5-6 times, and couldn't get the volume side silicone to line up. Contacted Otterbox, and they sent me another one, and it has the same issue. I just now, stretched the heck out of the silicone (like over pulling it onto the front glass), and got it to fit better...still not ideal, especially for a $35 case.
@JBentzPhotography I'm having the same problem. It's not that noticeable but it still is annoying. Did you have to send in your old one first? I don't want to be without a case while I wait for the new one.
@xGmart No, I did not. I e-mailed them, just replied to the credit card charge e-mail I got, and told them about the problem. Took about 10 days to get the replacement, but at least I could use the original case for protection until then. The new case fit better, but still had the similar problem. I was able to pretty much get it to fit properly by first holding the silicone on the side of the volume buttons to where it was way over the screen (stretching it out), then installing...
@xGmart ...the top part of the hard plastic case first. Then, at the bottom, I would over stretch the opposite side lower part (opposite the volume buttons), and hold that, then slide on the hard plastic to the bottom of the case. After that was done, I would then push the silicone by the vol buttons away, and side my finger in to where I could grab that with my fingers, and pull up on it to pull it out of the plastic shell some more. When I let go, it seemed to seat way better.
@hh8kk8 Thanks, I've only had the case for a few days so it's hard to tell. I think this silicone will keep its shape and not stretch out or get loose as quickly as the previous version.
the on off button is stiff.

Good to know, cheers!

Good review, you should continue to do more on some other popular cases when you've got some extra cash!

Great review! Are the silicons on both sides around the volumes kind of loose overtime?
