Lisa Hartman Black butchered this classic in 1984 in the 1 star remake of a classic film and song. She should have apologized to Connie Francis, Neil Sedaka, and Howard Greenfield.
my God!........ such perfect her's singing ....i love it so much!!!! thanks for sharing! n thx You Tube n Internet! WE CAN LISTEN WHAT WE WANT !!! THX!
Didn't the female star in this movie become a Benedictine nun? She was supposed to be the next "Grace Kelly". She made movies with Anthony Quinn, Montgomery Cliffe, and others. At 10 years old she became Catholic. "Where the Boys are" , quite the movie for a future nun! She was interviewed twice, the last time when she was about 80, and, of course, still in the cloistered convent. Enchanting interviews too, Thanks. A retired Catholic priest in Canada. I must google up the film.
@ganski223 Yes, I have seen her interviews with EWTN & ABC(I think). A charming woman. Facinating stories & short home video of a private party with Miss Hart playng a flute & Elvis playing the piano. It's very worth while to google up Miss Hart or possibly go directly to U-Tube.
this song was for the navy who else. i live close to BAINBRIDGE NAVAL BASE and the sailors used to come down the hill into town and go to the restaurants and bars to get a good meal, and to have a good beer. there sure was alot of them that even i would go to war for. they where all great to look at. all of us girls would sit out on my front porch, and wave at them and some would stop and talk to us. they where on there way to the italian restaurant at the end of town.base moved to florida. sad
i could sing this song just like her. my mom taped me doing this song and played it for some friends of hers, and one lady told my mom, that connie frances gets better every time i hear her. my mom- oh really- her friend yes she does. my mom said thats not connie francis thats patricia singing. she could not believe it. said mom was jokeing.... i could sound just like her. i loved her voice and all the songs she ever did. i also could sing like brenda lee, also one of my favorites. both great!!
This was a favorite of US Navy sailors in the early 1960's those of us sailors who lived through the Cuban Missle Crisis in 1962 always thought this song was for us.
@mawestpac The Movie was shot in Fort Lauderdale-Florida. A simple Teenager -first Love Movie, nothing Special-but the Song by Connie Francis is just a Classic. I travel and spent my Vacation in Ft . Lauderdale since the late 80ies(last Century!) Why- Lauderdale has the best Beaches and Bikinigirls in the US.
i grew up listening to so many great singers , at the time this was not so , but jesus christ so many have become legends , connie , sinatra , martin , davies , bennet , and many more ...............................................thanks mum and dad for introducing me to so many fantastic singers , i will pass this on to your grandchildren ,

There was a lesbian porno movie called "Where The Boys AREN'T". Say what you want about adult films, but some of the titles are hilarious.
Jefgg 6 days ago
@Jefgg Agreed. "Bob and Daryl and Ted and Alex" and I always thought there should be a sequel titled "Danny Hall" after Diane Keaton's tour de force.
