Finally some music from poulenc that is not totally manic and totally superficial.Y is this music still played .Not too interesting after firsthearing .IsIt?I want to hear that nunguillotined opera .what is his deal?French dancehall music. this is melange
I couldn't disagree more. Poulenc's work is always lyrical with an astringent quality that keeps it from wandering into the saccharine. The older I get, the more I listen to Poulenc. Also, try listening to another member of Les Six, Milhaud.
yeah... I prefer them over Honegger definitely. His music is not unique... like Poulenc's, who was one of the most melodicly-gifted composers every to exist.
ARGH! MY FAVOURITE DUET! My friend and I played this duet 3 years in a row because we loved it so much. It's so much fun to play. You both did a good job too :D.
Really nice !Thanks for posting! Charming with a lot of variety in articulation. If you feel like yanking up
your precision a bit play the Branderburg-concertos
(there is a four-hand version).Never mind the sexist
pigs commenting on your partners good looks,(although I must agree that she is quite qute).A couple of piano playing kids and Gottschalk is waiting.Good luck.luck!

LovesGenet is out of his head. Poulenc is an excellent composer through and through. His compatriots Milhaud and Auric are both fabulous as well.

More Poulenc please. I liked your interpretation-- elegant, sardonic and witty. Appreciated the view of your hands playing.
