This trick is nice and all... but what do you do after? I mean... the pen is still on your ear. If you do the single pen routine, you got to make the pen reapear at some point and simply saying "oh! It's behind my ear now!" seems to give away the trick... I guess you could just leave without making the pen reapear, but if you took the pen from someone's desk, he'll probably want it back :P

Maybe you could make sure to only borrow a Bic style pen (you know the cheap ones and then it doesn't matter as much if you don't bring it back) OR...

You could have a duplicate of their pen in your pocket and reproduce that one as if it was there's. (again this is getting into a more advanced style which you seem to be ready for, but YouTube is not the place for me to teach it. Hope that makes sense.

ALSO if your audience is looking at your ear and not your hands you did the effect poorly. The only reason you see it here is because you can't misdirect a camera. You do a great job of showing how these tricks are done. I haven't looked through all of your videos yet, but there's one trick that still astounds me, and I thought I would ask if you knew how it was done. That trick is the coin and cylinder trick where you use a cylinder, 3 coins, a piece of cork and of course, the magic wand. If you know how it's done, I would love to learn it.

Re: the effect that you're talking about. That effect is a very difficult routine. It's known as Ramsey's Cylinder and Coins. NOT something that's even worth teaching to beginners as they would never be able to do it without extensive practice.

AND... if someone is willing to put that kind of practice in they can purchase Ramsey's book to learn that routine. Well worth it.
