  • it doesnt recognise much it is useless as such :( i wish it was as effective as asukal's ime for winmo 6.5

  • Thank you. I was able to assign a gesture to toggle between keyboard and hanWriting. Very useful!

  • I installed the plugin but when I click on the 123 to enable smileys and handwriting, I cannot get to the handwriting function. I've tried traditional chinese and a little japanese, and I still can't get the handwriting to go. It seems like I'm not doing something right when I press 123, I see options but I can't click on anything. And I do have the plugin installed and enabled.

By the way I am using a Galaxy S II LTE.

  • @sstam008

Never mind! I accidentally disabled gestures!

  • @sstam008 you have press & hold 123 ( a menu will pop up) and then swipe to the pen icon (keep your finger on the screen).

  • @HanWriting It's very hard to switch between normal English keyboard and the handWriting pad. Wish there could be a one button press to switch between the two.

  • @exile4ever MultiLing let you assign one of the gesture for handwriting / english toggle.

  • ive got a problem and i really need ur help asap! ive installed the multiling app and hanwriting app in my htc sensation and even activated it but when i use whatsapp or try to send a message, I can only type english. I cant find the korean language typing option!

  • @illusionist552 swipe the space key left or right to switch language.

  • this app is horrible, i tried both classic and multiling plugin, i cant even write 蓝 or 红 on it.... it just does not recognize it.

  • may I speak - via Skype - with the developer

  • Nice keyboard. I'm having a bit of problem though, I know this is very simple but does anyone know how to switch to the smileys, handwriting mode, etc.? I know, the options will show when you long press 123. But when I do that and click on the smiley or drawing icon for example, it does nothing but go to a keypad with buttons 'copy, paste, and arrows'... :|

  • @thecoolsis07 please provide more info about your android device.

  • @HanWriting oh it's okay now. I kinda found it out after posting that comment. :/ Thanks for your concern though. :D

  • how do i set it to writing in traditional chinese?

  • @eyecon1219 you can set it in the preferences via long pressing "space key".

  • @HanWriting i went into the settings but which one do i choose and where ?

  • @eyecon1219 under primary han character set, choose 正體中文aka 繁體中文(traditional)

  • Looking for an app like this for mytouch? Will your app work? Is it on market yet? It looks great.

Also, that's pretty music. Can I ask, who is the singer and what is the song?

  • @mccheese0 Yes, beta is available. Search keyword "honso". It should work on mytouch. The singer is Urna Chahar. watch?v=exxoWW4U96w

  • Where i can download the apps?

  • Where and when i can download the apps for HTC Evo?

  • @peggyzee not in the market yet. If you want to test the beta, read the detail.

  • awsome !! i was looking for this apps for months. Handwriting is THE missing function of android and i'm happy to see that great job. Go on :o) hi from france

  • @sulliwane Thanks! HanWriting is aiming to support as many languages as possible. French and other European languages would be included the future version.

  • Looks awesome and I'd be willing to beta test. Will it be free?

  • @samadhiboy Yes, It will be free!!

  • Great Application! I hope you'll be able to release it soon!

  • When will you be able to release this? It's the critical missing app for entering chinese characters that you don't know the pinyin/zhuyin for!

  • @jmworsley Hopefully beta will be out by the end of next month. Just a rough estimation.

  • @HanWriting

i installed this app, i can get to it by changing the input method, however, now i can not get back to my default keyboard. am i missing something??

  • @sfaguy1 long press (press & hold ) any edit box. A menu will pop up. Select "input method". A list will popup. The default keyboard is in the list.

  • @HanWriting

    1. by 'edit box' do you mean the left, middle or right region of the screen?

    2. can i turn of japanese & korean character sets? i only use this for chinese chars

    3. is it possible to make the stroke THICKER, currently it's very thin

  • @sfaguy1 edit box = text field = the box that let you enter text. Yes, you can turn off the any character sets. Just go to settings to set your preferences. I'll let you choose the thickness in the future release.

  • @HanWriting

    1. i try long press in the enter text area, but nothing pop open. i am using sony x10, android 1.6. could this a potential bug??

    2. to disable japanese/korean, what settings do i turn off? i am not sure which one to disable. would you send me a screen shot to show me ... anon6647276@gmail.com

  • @HanWriting

thanks for the email and screenshots - they help a lot and everything works thus far. however i still have a couple of questions..

watching your youtube video entering chinese characters, they seem so easy and straight forward. however, when i try it, it does not seem to be very easy, nor i never get the words that i want (unlike in iphone, it pretty accurate)

i.e, words like 按 , 張 which has two parts often give me the problem. do you have a good suggestion how to enter words?

  • @sfaguy1 it maybe due to your fingers aren't small. Some practice should b e able to improve that. I suggest you simply write 安 and 長 and navigate from there.

  • @HanWriting

your demo definitely looks very simple, however i am having a hard time finding the words i want. it seems the iphone writing area returns the correct words more often than your app. any suggestions???

  • @sfaguy1 please refer the guideline in my homepage.

HanWriting is aiming to support all the uni-han characters, unfortunately, it is not an easy job.

  • @mcsons13 @R41H4N4 @liahmai

I'm doing my best to release it ASAP.

Please tell your friend about this app. Every single comment will fuel me to work even harder. Thanks!

  • @HanWriting

When will you be able to release this? It's the critical missing app for entering chinese characters that you don't know the pinyin/zhuyin for!

  • @HanWriting Yes, I'll do that :)

  • yeah, i want this too. When can we get it?

  • I NEED THIS! lol

  • i want this!:(((
