Yeah by 91 the boat had already been missed. THe House influence in the music was already waning, and taking the dark and aggressive British form which eventually gave us UK garage. Best years to be into scene is 86-90. 91-93 is the sunset period and by 94 it was all over, it became something completely different altogheter.

although i didnt get into the scene until mid 91, I still experienced 'that vibe' which prevailed in the rave years and would consider myself part of the party generation when the music was either house, 'rave' or 'techno' and when ecstasy was an accurate description of that drug. No matter what anyone says, without mdma, raves and the legendary music would never have been born. Ecstasy, a top tune, vicks and a blonde in a catsuit was an awesome combination!
