Your right CADPAT does work well in many areas..I have a set for my WorldCamoCollection made by Propper cut in the US BDU style..I just aquired a SS Zeltbahn made in LoftingSmoke Pattern that resembles the new CADPAT..Go check it out...Nice job!
I’m looking for some new BDU’S and I’ve been looking for videos like this. I like CADPAT and Multicam, but I’m confused. I’ve seen videos where it works really well in terrain like we have here (I live in Calallen), but I’ve also seen videos where it looks really tan and would not work anywhere around here. As far as I know, there’s only one kind of Multicam so like.. what’s going on? Also, are you one of guys who plays at that abandoned building on highway 77?
i have a tiger stripe camo bdu and i love that camo pattern its perfect for kentucky's woodland terrain and i live in kentucky....what do you think about the tiger stripe?
I know that depending on the terrain and the vegetation and all that, but I've got a few questions. Heavily vegetated (more green than anything) would be CADPAT correct? Lightly vegetated (more brown that anything) would be MARPAT, correct? Multicam, I'm not a fan of, so I'll stay away from that. ACU, how would that look in snow/woods in the winter, in the 3 positions for shooting (Prone, Crouch, and Standing). I'm more woods oriented, so I'd like to know. I love my MN, winter seasons. =D
@Lovemetal629 And also, how would Flecktern look in the woods? Flecktern looks more like it's for woods that are around 40% brown and 60% green? I really wanna know, because I love blending in for airsoft. If I had some white clothes, I probably would be asking these questions, but, I like standing out with my camo, and blending in instead of using the OSC Woodland (you should know what I'm talking about), just for looks. Thanks for the help!
Truth is real soldiers don't just jump into the field with nothing but their camo uniform and we are taught to cut vegetations from our operational environment and stuff them around our uniform/webbing/vest/burgens to blend in. If you want a proper experiment you need to do the same. You need to have a real person wearing the kits with proper camo techniques not just throwing a pair of camo pants behind a bush.
It all depends on your environment that your testing in. Tell you the truth, you have a faded multicam hat. you make it look bad. For every one that just got turned down from multicam, just look at google pics. its alot better in my opinion for multi environment conditions. I'm fully equiped with multicam, and i thinks its awsome. and i dont do any of that airsoft shit neither.
@haleymadimckenzie There are different colour's cause of the batches that come out. Some look a little more yellowish, some don't. Also, the earlier generation were printed on a white base. It faded fairly quickly. That's why you should stay away from Parklands. As the gen's got higher (Gen II, Gen III). They were printed on a OD base.
My bf serves with the canadian forces and sits at night side by side the americans. At night canadians wear an altered version of cadpat that is also hidden when it comes to nir. But he says they always poke at eachother about uniforms for fun lol so when it comes down to it what you prefer is what you prefer. Its all designed to do the same thing. Great video!, to all the cadpat or canadian bashers you shouldnt speak because they fight side by side with eachother over there. And this I know
Went out the bought some CADPAT just to see what the big deal was about.
It blends in well when there is bright green but does not blend in anywhere else. Marpat is far better choice. And Multicam is even better. And when actually playing airsoft or real combat you don't hide in front of the green you hide behind it. Like I said you don't know what your talking about.
@1lostinspace Ok, number 1. When Playing airsoft, it's a game. If you don't know that by now... I don't know what to say. You have the option to chose your camo based on Terrain. Secondly in war, you aren't always given the option of where to hide. If shots come down range, well they do. If you like MARPAT. Fine. That's great, go on and keep doing it. I personally, like CADPAT. As far as Multicam goes, It's the new BDU. Sure it works, probably better than most camo's. It's still a persons choice
@1lostinspace dude marpat is good in a browner environment, cadpat is good where i live (boreal forest) dont you know anything? its about YOUR SURROUNDING ENVIRONMENT
never said it was not about your surrounding enviroment
Canadian forces have to defend Canada where it works the US on the other hand has to take over the world so their camo has to work in multiple environments
Yeah we like oil and Canada is not bad place either, hmmm maybe you guys are next, lol CAPDAT is worthless at night using NIR the ACU that you guys hate so much was made for night time operation and you would not see a thing.
@1lostinspace bright green?? lol cadpats dark green and the ones you have are knock offs, cadpat is only given to CF personal and is not sold to surplus stores or civilians.
Hi eddie It Haleymadimckenzie AGAIN listen i bought a full set of acu of of ebay. Should i wase the money on a tan iba system on airsoft g.i and use it with my cadpats or use an acu iba system with my acu gear. OR Should i scrap the acu and keep cadpat
nice to finally see a review on cadpat.. i have been looking into different camo patters, and I saw the "Italiano Vegetato" or i think it is called this way or similar.
I saw a guy in a paintball game wearing one and it lookedd very balanced in mixed vegetation.
But in my opinion no one camo pattern works for every environment/season.
dude put the camo on and go under tree conopy or behind brush then go to open field at 200-300-400-500 meters and see what you get. I don't get why your throwing the stuff on the ground. Also ACU is primarily an Urban/Night Vision camo
This guy is a clown dude but the shit on and go into a tree canopy with the sun in various angles. Then try 100-200-300 meters in open field and you will see your cadpat is not all it's cracked to be
nice video, thanks for the upload. I'm quite a fan of the MARPAT and ACU. I'm looking to get a BDU for paintballing, and i was wondering what you would recommend.
In my area it depends on where you are and what season it is. In the forest its brown & green, on open fields its green and kinda tan normally, in the Summer. In Spring its really green, in Fall its green & tan, and in Winter its tan and white. You need several paterns to hide in my area. Multicam works well nearly year round but like you said its really over-rated and I don't like it that much for those purposes. CADPAT would work in my area around Spring, and possibly Summer.
Yeah the CADPAT is extremely rare to find. I can hook you up with some links on where to get some knock offs. I'm also selling one of my jackets. Depending on what size you wear.
Yeah I'm on ASC. I've been looking for some LEGIT ARID CADPAT. It's either really hard to find or twice the price of regular TW CADPAT. It would rule down here. Considering a lot of us use desert MARPAT. It bares a strong resemblance to it.
I can imagine it would be hard to find. I saw a picture that I'll try to find of a side by side of MARPAT and ARID CADPAT. It made the arid look really good haha.
lol why are throwing it on the bushes to test camo you have to put it on and hide behind cover.
ACU is Urban/Night Vision camo Multicam is for light brush/desert marpat for woodland and CADPAT for green tripical so it's no surprise when you throw them on green CADPAT wins. throw then on the street or curb and you will see ACU win then do to light wood and Multi wins and so forth
Just showing an example... CADPAT has been proven to be 30% more effect than a standard OD uniform. Meaning you can get 30% closer to a target before being spotted. Take the picture at 1:55 for example. It's a simple picture sure... But if you backed up to a certain distance, your eye would not pick up on those colors. Especially if someone is laying in wait with a rifle.
lol that's not what it mean by 30% they referring to detection at different ranges and reaction time.
Cadpat is effective in tropical that's all. Marpat is far more effective in a variety of woodland and multicam is far better choice for all around. Have you ever seen someone wearing cadpat wood in open field at 500 meters? they look black and further they get the darker they look
CADPAT (TW) works well in Temperate, Suparctic, and Tropical locations. The Farther someone wearing CADPAT is from you in an area were it's meant to work in, they will dissapear.
CADPAT is the best Forest Camo in NATO. as stated by those experts. Also I know were CADPAT works well, as I have used it in Subarctic, Temperate and Tropical areas and well it works well in those areas.
All around = Multicam? Wrong. In a dense forest CADPAT works best. In a Arid area where brush is yellow (in winter) Multicam works. However, it is not a "all around" camo.
@EddieUV777, yeah Multicam is too light for dark green areas. Multicam is for people that don't want to buy a lot of terrain specific patterns. With Cadpat and Marpat one would need to have two different sets (woodland and desert), including tactical gear, to beat Multicam in a wide variety of settings. The British went to Multi-Terrain instead of their terrain specific camoflauge for Afghanistan because of the drastic color changes yards apart from each other.
Really you asking this question why wear camo at night? This what I am talking about I am arguing with uneducated people. Ever heard of night vision? well all of our troops use it and so do yours, difference is ACU is made to defeat night vision and your loved CADPAT looks stupid because it has black in it making you stick out under NIR do some research then argue with me
@1lostinspace who ares these ''pros'' and have you seen canada because im looking out side and multicam wouldnt work in dense forest/ snow and if we need some thing for an arid area we can use are desert cadpat but even in fall cadpat will work because we have a lot of evergreen trees and darker plants and scrub
and if you have to cross our grassier plains chances are your already in a shitty spot and laying down wont cut it.
any ways buddy i doubt that you went out and picked up camo just to check it out
if you did your an idiot and you bought some thing you didnt need.
terrain doesnt change from arid to dense forest often so the camo chosen cadpat or arid cadpat will do just fine. saying cadpat is bright green is an exaggeration because its dark green and a lighter green but no ''bright green''
but if multicam makes you feel like rambo i say go for it
It is designed to appear darker and lighter depending on light( Who is this dumb ass do your research) I am developing a new pattern so for me to buy your Cadpat is nothing but a tax right off! Lol If you loved Cadpat was soooo great then why did the Brits Us Army and the Germans start using Multicam lol. Your an Idiot that knows nothing! As far as CADPAT I will use it in Pure Green areas, there it works very well.
@1lostinspace lol your like a little fire cracker just keeps going off in a little frenzy of pissy rage. when ever some one calls your bluff its quite funny to be honest act as if i insulted your multicam when i just fond flaws in what you were saying and good luck with your experiment.
just a heads of on the whole i know nothing thing...i probably know a lot more about the military then you and lets add life to that list as well
yeah right what is MOA at 300 meters? What is the lead for a mover at 500 meters with 5mph cross wind right to left with a quarter value 10mph left to right using a M24? What is 25.4? Dude go airsoft and shut the fuck up!
Ha yeah so you don't know shit, just as I thought.. don't start telling us how your some military guy, you know nothing so shut your pie hole! Sh! Zip! Zip it!
great review bro! (canadian) yeah i agree in your earlier videos it is veeeerry difficult to aquire genuine CADPAT but i think that just goes to the trademark and government regulations. i wish i had that stuff too but it's really expensive for me=(

yeah right what is MOA at 300 meters? What is the lead for a mover at 500 meters with 5mph cross wind right to left with a quarter value 10mph left to right using a M24? What is 25.4? Dude go airsoft and shut the fuck up!

great review bro! (canadian) yeah i agree in your earlier videos it is veeeerry difficult to aquire genuine CADPAT but i think that just goes to the trademark and government regulations. i wish i had that stuff too but it's really expensive for me=(
