Im a big movie buff, and I appreciate certain movies and take the time to understand them and find an underlying message, but am i the only one that thought the tree of life was long, and boring?
@JimmyLawrenson I whole-heartedly agree. I despise that film, as it's pretending to be profound. It is just a big question mark, and if a director can't get across what they're trying to say with their running time, then they've made a big mistake. Commending it because it's a confusing mess -- a bad plan.
all indie bullshit of course. I'm extremely surprised Harry Potter made it, cuz like all film critics its about being elitist. I will give you most mainstream movies are drivel cuz they pander to the masses a la idiots (mostly) but not every damned indie movie is better. Its just because they're abstract and different critics always praise them (even if they're boring as hell) but they are not the mainstream therefore elite, and that's what a critic is so I'll choose those ones. k hump day rant.
I like his choices.But my top 10 are 1.Harry Potter & The Deathly Hollows Pt.2, 2.The Artist, 3.Rango, 4. Midnight in Paris, 5. Hugo, 6. Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, 7.Shame, 8.Fast Five, 9.The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, & 10 Thor.

Some of these movies were Debbie Downers. Good-bye Robert time to hang it up!

@obrapro
So? Rather watch a depressing yet smart and well made movie like Shame than an explosive diarrhea film like Transformers: Dark of the Moon.
