I heard on DIscovery that you mustn't look when is Solar eclipse, because it can blind you in less than 3 seconds...You can just watch this with anti-solar glasses.....

Though I am afraid each time I see such thingies..From my childhood I was pretty sure that it is not fair that the Moon bloks sunlight to the Earth :/ Just think about it.when other half of the earth is in night, the rest half which should have day now have a night as well:/even though for a short ammount of time, still it's not fair that way! I don't like eclipses as it means that someone bloks someone (lunar eclipse same thing when Earth bloks sunlight)and then that someone feels very lonely:/

Yes, for your eyes. You can look at it directly during total phase, but not at annular or partial.

In the panorama you can see two 'stars': next to the sun the planet Mercury, farther away the more brilliant planet Venus . Because they stood too near to the sun on 1/8 (seen from the earth) they were not visible during twilight on 1/8 but the eclipse made them visible to the naked eye.
