So, I've spent the last three days searching for a good, informative video on panel layout, and everything I've found was kind of ...meh... on the helpful scale.
THIS is AWESOME information. Respect, dude, and I'm saving your vid to my favorites.
lol! hey your drawings aren't bad! i like them i like your style! you don't do crappy stuff and if you're not happy with it don't worry you'll get better your style will smooth out a bit and i love your vids they help a lot i favorited this one! and gave you 5 *s
I'm what you call a Lazy artist. Rulers smoolers. That's why in my first vid, I say that I do OWN a ruler, but I need to use it more often. Also, it's hard to draw and film at the same time.
No way. But as a working stiff, I gotta crank these videos and comic pages out BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY. I don't have as much time as I did when I was younger. I'd like to think of my kid as my sidekick in these videos. Like a drooling Ed McMahn.
There are no definite rules in comics. If you want to tell your story without them, go for it, however it does help the reader know what you cut to. All you need is one per scene. It makes it much clearer for the reader, which is the main goal of storytelling.
That was very helpful, but I've got a question. When are establishing panels necessary? You know, the panels that shows the background that the characters inhabit.
Oooops! I left in the last part of my Fight Scene tutorial. So I guess that's my cliffhanger preview of my next possible tutorial. In case you can't wait, the main point is that it's easier to draw fight scenes if you show hilighted moments instead of a billion moment to moment shots.
