the door is to high, no insulation on the ground or on the "shelter"( you need 2-3 foot, especially since its snowing) it looks horribly constructed. it looks so weak just a little gust of wind would roll it over, and i know this and im 13, u look like a grown man but u sure aint as smart as 1...

You never use leaves for a fire, 1. because they smoke like hell, 2. they suffocate the fire leaving no flow of oxygen and 3. Holly leaves and some other leaves are toxic when burnt, making your food taste of shit. And never have a fire inside a shelter. That's just common sense right?

That is the saddest excuse of a shelter I have ever seen. It won't shed rain or snow and it won't stop the wind, so what does it actually do other than give you a false sense of security? Learn how to make a debris hut. True shelter FUNCTIONS as shelter, not just looks like something you can CALL shelter. You would quickly die in this shelter if you had to use it in serious weather.

ummm is it jsut me or does a fire INSIDE your WOODEN shelter seem like a bad idea? sure as hell wouldnt wanna fall asleep in it, wake up in an inferno :P now if the fire was in a pit at say an entrance/exit you could still funnel its heat through with less risk of fire 1 fire per side 1-2 feet away from the entrance/exit. we used to make these types in the mojave, gets reallllly cold at night.

You have to add foilage to the roof to make it more inulated and to prevent water from entering. also you could make a fire wall and have the fire outside the shelter so u can actually sleep in there and keep warm from the reflecting heat.

Strange configuration. 2 openings right on either side of one another? The very end of video 1 made it look like you had two "doors" instead of just one. I'd think that'd be too breezy, especially in the cold. Why anyone would pick wintertime to go out into the wilderness and build a shelter is beyond me anyway. I hate the cold!
