I'm gonna miss it too, but I haven't watched it yet. I will later though online. I can't wait till Crystal Chappell starts her new webisode series Venice. A few of the actors from GL will be in it. I think it'll be on YT under the name venicetheseries. She talks about it in a couple vids that's on there. It sounds like she's gonna continue her character, but under a different name. Jessica who plays Natalia is gonna be in it too. They have an official site & twitter page too.

You keep right on singin' sweetie: but sadly, it won't keep our Guiding Light shining. I am so pissed that CBS is pulling the plug on this 72 year piece of television history that gives us a real sense of community, and unlike other soaps the characters are believable and not just baby doll chicks!

Yeah, it really sux cause I just started watching this show just over 2 yrs ago. I'd watched others off & on over the yrs, but this 1 by far has the best cast. At least it's ending on a happy note.

Cause those people I cussed out are total assholes & I don't have to put up with their BS of them telling me to go kill myself cause they think I'm ugly & can't sing & that according to them my friends don't really like me cause I'm ugly. Those are the people who don't deserve my or anyone else's love. If that's hypocritical, then so be it cause I'm not taking anything I said to them back cause I meant every word of it.

Mine too! I've only been watching for about 2 yrs, but I wish I had been watching it longer now. I found a really cool site of the original radio broadcasts.

I've been singing my whole life, but I've only been able to make vids of it for about a yr & a half.

Yup me too. I discovered this show a couple yrs back when I was lookin for somethin to watch & this 1 just kind of grabbed me. Now I can't get enough of it.

I love the theme song, but I wish they'd kept this quote that they used to have too: "There is a destiny that makes us brothers. None goes his way alone. All the we send into the lives of others, comes back into our own."

Did you hear that the show itself will be going off the air after 72 years? La Lumiere, Ritournelle, sunlight through the leaves, Announcer Alan Berns, Irma Phillips(who created the show)even dropping the "The" from its name in 1975! Those were all part of the show(which premiered on radio in 1937 and moved to TV in 1952)The show will leave in September of 2009!
