  • All I am going to say about Ali's anchor punch is this:

One day I was walking my dog. And suddenly this young white lady comes upto me, with her dog walking with her. and asks me if i had just moved into the area.....I told her that i had lived here for 3 years. "well, I never saw you." was her reply. Now, b/c she didnt see me. b/c maybe i should've came over to her apt. and knocked on her door to alert her of my moving in; doesnt change that i lived there for 3 years. LOL.

    peace

  • now that's what i call out jabbing. haha

  • i love how seconds before he kos Quarry Ali is motioning to the ref to stop the fight.

  • I think Liston figured that was as good a shot as any to call it a night.

  • look at the 1st Cleveland Williams knockdown. Ali dances back, landing a quick 1,2 to knock him down. masterfull

  • how was the phatom punch contreversial? somone explain plz

  • The Punch Was So Fast, People Did'nt See It. Because No One Saw It A Rumor Started That Sonny Liston Was Paid To Lose. Later On, The Punch Was Timed At Four One-Hundredth Of A Second The Same As A Camera Flash Or A Eyeblink (One Of The Fastest Punches In History).

  • ohhh ok now i understand! thanks for taking some time and explaining that :)

  • Yeah they had fucking black and white tv thats why they couldnt see it!! LOL!!! ALi is a big fucking HYPE..he was good but he was even better outside the ring..

  • you know that was a joke right?

  • Facts Still Remain.

That Punch Was Fast As Hell!

  • it looks like a pratt fall, like Liston took a dive... but if you see it in slow mo you can totally see Liston's head snap.

  • i think with liston...ali did land a fast punch that caught liston off guard...but i think he did fake it...thats why i think ali was yellnig at him as he went down, probably sayin like "get up phoney don't be faking it get up!" opinions guys?

  • I think the punch probably did knock Liston down, but Liston had reasons out side of the ring to stay down. He was notoriously involved with the mafia and it was suspected that he was eventually killed through some involvment in organised crime. I doubt Ali knew anything about itto be honest.

  • ah...ya your probably right, that makes sense

  • regarless of any of that , ali was destined to be champion.

  • People seem to disregard Larry Holmes handspeed, his handspeed IMO is just as fast as Ali. Just his movement wasn't as fast.

  • My god! watch at 2:00 you can't even see the last left hook that hit Quarry in the head EVEN in SLOW MOTION! Speed man! Awesome speed!

  • Thank you Khalilj..

I have a habit of studying Ali's fights and

this documentary is all I will ever need.

  • your welcome..

  • watching doesn,t help by its self you need ability too, i watch ali ,roy jones and bruce lee, cause i have that physical potential

  • thanks for uploading!

  • ali v.s. chuvalo

  • Ali vs tyson, Who would win ????

  • He got shot by a sheriff on a lonely Texas highway, no one knows what for.

  • the cleveland williams wasn't his personally favorite fight, the rumble in the jungle was... williams wasn't much challenge, he'd been shot in the stomach and nearly died the previous year

  • great work - thanxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • Criminal refereeing, having to wait on Ali calling him over before he steps in to save Quarry.

  • Not to mention the whole round before that, when Ali's tape on his glove was loose and unravelling, until every time he was punching Quarry he was also lashing him with a foot long section of tape or more... bad job by the ref in that bout.

  • quarry was a bum, ali hadnt fought in so long and lets be honest quarry was the designated "great white hope" and never materialized, itd be like comparing michael jordan when he came back in 95 out of retirement with robert horry..

  • Quarry was a terror, calling him a bum says that Ali wasnt as great as he was. He demorilized the hardest punching heavyweight Ernie Shavers(the uncrowned champion of the world)in one round. There were alot of adversaries in that era.

  • cool
