what a great practice technique!!!!!!! So when you go out "regular" dancing do you notice that you do the same moves lol I feel like im always spinning as if I have a hula hoop. I think im losing capability to dance without toys ahhhhhhh!
this is great Aileen! my body is always thinking like this when i go out dancing and there's definitely a connection for me, but I've never examined the link in this manner. really beautiful to see it
Lovely :) Also what a fascinating bit of synchronicity: the same weekend you posted this, I saw Christian up in Connecticut and he challenged the lot of us to do exactly this: moving without our tools but as though we were using them. I'm really glad you posted this, it's really cool to see you dance in this way :)
Rad! I do this too! I first got into it at Firedrums a few years ago, watching all the classes and just doing the body part without the prop. That stretch routine I showed you is based around it, but its nowhere near as graceful or flowy as this video. Great stuff!
I dunno what you guys are talking about,"No Staff." I saw it the whole time. Disconnecting from a prop, is a great way to reconnect with the body. Not that I'd say Aileen "The Bees Knees" Lawlor needs reconnecting XD
I CAN almost see the staff... Interesting to isolate the dance from the prop. I sometimes do the same, but never thought to make a study of it! Great Work Aileen - Thanks for sharing!
i love that video, its such a big inspiration :) thank you for sharing

The music syncs with your dance perfectly. Cool background, too.
