Ticket sales revenue don't go into DJ pockets. They go first to the venue and the promoters who bring the tour in, and label. All these parties have payouts to make for people who support shows, like the stage crews, the road crews and all the venue help.

The DJ's make a small cut. Now, they do probably make at least a few million a year, but they aren't pulling in 7 figures for every concert they do.

CD royalties work differently because of how music is liscensed for mix compilations.
