The reason you don't see it bleed its own color is because there are very few ways to obtain pure black and that black contains all colors equally. However, I was going to be an art major at one point and would love to see research on it. I'm actually interested to see where you have read this.

@StunningSpectra You're actually both correct, it depends whether you're talking about additive or subtractive colour. Light vs pigment, with pigments black is all colour, with light black is the absence of all colour. xoxo

Hi Michael, I'm from the US and live in a very cold dry place, so my skin dries out sooo bad especially my face, my face also gets very oily. I use MAC foundation and a Beauty Blender, but I always seem to get a very dry look, where the foundation cakes onto the dry flakes and accentuates them. I use a sugar scrub on my face when I shower and a MAC moisturizer before putting my makeup on but my face seems to dry out even a couple minutes after putting it on everyday. Any suggestions?

@ohohxxxx Try a glycol based moisturiser over night! I would suggest to use perhaps an emolient based SPF, but that also depends what mac foundation you're wearing. If it's oil free (such as Studio Fix Fluid) you'll have to go for a glycol based moisturiser (actually designed for acne treatments, but does wonders to hydrate the skin) where as if you've got something emolient based (like Full Coverage - even though its a pro product) you can get away with wearing a slightly oily feeling SPF. xo
