Because of ignorant ass holes that only liked the old cradle of filth who think they sold out, because lots of people started liking them. APparently because lots of emos starting liking the band they became emo themselves - personally the biggest load of shit i've ever heard, or will hear.

But you cannot compare, let say Cruelty and the beast and Thornography... or this song with another from Thornography or Godspeed on the devil's thunder or even nymphetamine...
I loved cradle of filth but they've fallen a lot for me now.

Actually, school kids that think they're all cool and badass (jocks, and preps) stereotype CoF as emo because they think they know everything, but they don't.
There's a reason all my friends that are cheerleaders are not my friends anymore, they talk shit about CoF and I've had enough, or they just talk shit about my other friend who's not a cheerleader, whatever, preps > emos.

I'm about to contridict myself right right now. I love both Dimmu Borgir and Cradle of Filth but I hate how they both gets compared to each other. Some ppl say that COF is trying to be like Dimmu and Cradle fans say that Dimmu is trying to be like Cradle. Then they make videos like Cradle vs Dimmu then both fans starts bashing each other on which one is more extreme or darker or realer or something like that.

This is just my opinion but I think their lyrics were way better and when you read it you almost had to think about it for some time. Then you had to see the art in it and then when you listened to it you couldn't help but appreciate the enlightment and beauty you get out of it. Masterpiece.

Godspeed has some good songs, 13th ceaser, The Death of love..and like two others that I can't think of. But Cruelty is still the best :( But..the person they are singing about here (bathory) has so much more...substiance to it then rias. Rias was a coward, Bathory was... just so better.

Singing about death does not equate to the band being emo in the slightest. By stating what you did it goes tp prove how ignorant and naive you are.
