Part 1

Oil Slider is a fun utility weapon at best. It's not very good for killing enemies. The "Blob" Form of the weapon has half the strength of a Mega Buster shot. The only thing I found the "Blob" Form to be useful for is killing Mega Man: Powered Up's form of the Gabyoall enemy. The "Board" Form is fun to play with, but I find I take more damage using it than I do without using it. It may be more powerful than the "Blob" Form, but if you aren't able to kill an enemy right away you will take

Oil Slider is fun to use in water stages, lol. Also fun if you have good heatlh and just don't mind plowing through enemies, but yeah your right. It's overall a pretty bad weapon. Makes Oil Man annoying to play as sometimes.

I seem to have for the most part fixed it by changing my recorder's settings for "interleave audio every :" I set it to a huge number of milliseconds, and it seems to have done the trick.

From what I remember from that triple oil blob shot, you can just stand in place in the middle of the room then proceed to jump on the oil as it lands all three times. Just make sure to jump back out of the way before Oil Man tries to jump on you after that.

Also, the Oil Slider really isn't that bad. Especially in the Time Man and Ice Man stages. You just need to carefully monitor the slider's speed with LEFT and RIGHT, and you'll be fine. The Oil Slider can also knock the shields off of Shield Attackers and Sniper Joes.

Ah, Oilman. Even with his unfortunate appearance, I think the thing bothers me most about him is that he's a weakling even compared to the obvious prototype Robot that is Flash Man Jr. (read: Time Man). Easily one of the worst weapons in Mega Man's arsenal (ever) and trying to play as Oil Man is masochistic, especially on Hard (and/or against Fire Man). It also doesn't help that the oil to fire thing feels like a nerfed Flame Man element. Also, the next tripping robot would be Brawl Man. Duh. :P

Roahm, trust me, once you complete the game as oilman, you get to know the oil slider's usefullness...

example: CPW-01 dies at 10 hits of the slider (yes, 10 freakin' hits with the oil slider, fastest way to get rid of him).

it may not be the best weapon, but it's useful nevertheless, it's...just in the wrong kind of game...it's among my favorites actually.

The oil slider unwieldy? I like using it for pure lulz. It can't be much harder than using the super arm.

Next up, easy mode/Chronoforce/Timeman. I actually think time slowing is a more effective power to have than time freezing, Chronoforce saved my ass several times during my pure ice run of ZXA, since you can still dodge while time is slowed and you can still perform all your normal actions.
