@FavreandMariofan They're discrete concepts. Justin is an excellent player. He also has fun and fascinating tactics. Him playing turtle style probably means that he thinks that's all he needs to do. It's on the opponent to beat that. To my knowledge, there aren't points awarded for style and thus trying to "Win" rather than "Showboat" would seem logical.

There's no assist spam here - it's all strategic.

That is not suki cancel, it was a simple sj cancel. Google suki cancel to find out what it is cause it's too much for me to post here. There's a couple of jap vids that show suki canceling.

a super jump cancel would have ended in a super jump, but he cancelled that with a block which = suki cancel.

Why do I even bother...just try it for yourself people, launch an assist when there is a super on the screen for you to block then just press up/back after the flash screen, you'll block instantly without ending in a super jump, that's a VERY old trick used for baiting (used in the early days to bait Cable into wasting an AHVB) it's not suki lol.

the reason YSxxPC works is because YS (and 1st few frames of some other supers) do not trigger block. so if you DHC during that time, a move that comes out instantly after the flash screen (like PC) cannot be blocked.

thats why it cannot be blocked. because if you are not blocking before the flash screen you will get hit. If you go to training mode, have someone proton canon you, try to block AFTER the flash and you will not be able to

sorry, there should be some clarification from both of us. there is a certain time, after the flash but while the character's super is goin that, yes, you can't block. but you also can't do anythin else. that's the whole point (for combos etc.). I feel you stating that fact was a bit pointless. the fact that some supers don't cause twitch block, and even moreso that some supers are instant is more critical to this working than the fact that there's some time where nothin can be done during DHCs.

cancelling a SJC able move in to a GROUNDED block is a SUKI cancel. keyword: grounded. Once you have SJC and are still on the ground in the blocking state, you are in the "suki state"

Now, you can either continue blocking, or go on with a combo. since this match is REALISTIC, he couldn't combo and blocked instead.

Those vids you're talking about with all the WEIRD combos are based off suki cancels. Its just that they used the ruby heart glitch and could actually combo.

chunksta (sentinel) launches Jwongs assist (commando). Sentinel, in a normal non suki cancel situation, should have been hit by storms typhoon but in this particular situation he did suki cancel.

when a character does a sj cancel able move, he can immediately cut off the recovery time by a SJ. Now when somethin is on screen for him to block, you can sj up/back but the back registers as a block and the person never leaves the ground and blocks instantly.
