FUCK anyone that disses the shit. Who sounds better than this in 2008. Everybody cold garbage all idiots. I still lookin 4 the 44 Magnum to blow fuckin head open...if u dis this shit...oops fuckin opus ma nigguh.
I think he repped White Plains NY, Brand Nubians from New Rochelle and Heavy D + Pete Rock & CL Smooth from Mt Vernon, who said all the good Hip Hop came from the 5 boroughs, NY Suburbs had some joints too... lol
Yo- this nigga was dope! I could remember taping Rap City in high school and racing home after basketball practice to catch songs like this one- good looking on the post!
Fuck Rap City, I can take you back to rushing home to watch Video Music Box with Raplh McDaniels on the UHF channels (for those that don't know that was the second knob on those old school TV's !!!)
Yo!! I got this shit on Vinyl Yo!! This album bangs with beats and hooks. Let me know if u got one too, so i can buy it from u. Need doubles so i can destroy this shit on the 1-2's yo!! ONE!!
this was my joint! I was in high school when this dropped! I miss those times. I use to go to New York every Spring Break! A Birmingham, AL. kid having big fun in the NY. That's when New York was New York! 42nd Street still had peep shows, and guilliani was NOT Mayor!! He ruined New York!!!!!!!!
I think Parrish Smith (EPMD) put him on. Loved this song... Too bad he was a one hit wonder (but it was the beat mostly)... If you didnt cop the cassette, you better have it on a radio show... Its definitely a rare joint.
This was the jam back in the day, boy. When you had to be glued to your TV waiting on RAP City to start on BET. The horns are just dope in this track, I'd turn my TV all the up for this joint.
I still got the full length cassette of this album, only played Magnus Opus song when it was first released; still play it from time-to-time when I spark up one after a long day at work. Classic song for sure.
I think White Plains. In the credits for this album he gives shouts out to niggaz I know in Ossining. That's where I'm From. Home of SING SING Prison. That's where I think he's from.
yea this nigga was nice but nobody knew who dude was . if you know this nigga tell,em this shit still hot he be kilin it at the end .i still force this down niggas eardrums..what...
yea dis nigga was nice but nobody knew who dude was and he be killin dat shit at the end if you know dis nigga tell,em this shit sill hot i still force this shit on niggas ear drums.. what...
I have been looking for this in record stores for twelve years. The beat was always rockin' in the back of my head, and I DEFINITELY had'nt seen the video since I was a Sophmore in high school in '93. Thanks fo rthe trip down memory lane, maybe I'll get lucky on ebay and find the 12" maxi single.
I actually had someone ask me for this last year at this spot where I spin. The bouncer asked me for it, so the next week I brought it back for him and played it. He bugged out. That wound up being a great night overall spinning.
Son goog lookin for this post. This is my old school shit!! I can never forget this beat, This shit would rock rite now if someone used it. Classic undergroung shit son!!
93 was the most diverse time in HipHop! Really impressed brotha, wasnt sure I'd find this on here
