not only is it really good... its the best out there.. im positive alot of others who refuse to give it a chance would agree if they did... i was reluctant to start.. put it off for months.. but wen i finally tried it out...i couldn't stope.. i watched it every day and late into the night till i caught up.. i couldn't get enough...

This game isn't too focused on the story of One Piece, though it does touch on key motivations of 300 episodes worth of characters. The setting more or less throws you on a massive island, tells you to fish, catch bugs, mine, fight and get lost till it give you the boss battles with flashbacks which may be jarring since those characters won't be detailed much.

Anyway, it should be a good intro to the character archetypes. I could say more if you ask.

@thelastgogeta Back when this came out it got some bad reviews for being too non-linear in terms of where to find items, and the tedious nature of grinding for items. Now Minecraft is getting perfect reviews for the same reason. Go figure.

Man, I wish that there was a Japanese-English fantranslation, because unfortunately, I cannot STAND the FUNimation dub for longer than an hour. And it seems that these voices will appear more than Link's "YAAAAAAAAAH!" I would like to hear a little less "ALLLL RIGHT!" and a little more "YOSHA!" At least this wasn't the one for the GameCube, I can stand the 4Kids voices less.

I never understood this series so I will never by the game. To me this series is the weirdest anime series i have ever seen. I will stick to my Speed Racer, Gundum, and other classic anime series.

i just finished this game. Wow what a FUN game! 1 of my favs on wii!, but your review is true on some parts, like spending SO much time just to collect items. True its annoying some times, and sometimes the items are RANDom and u have to Catch or Fish stuff. Cathings most annoyin tho. But over all what a fun game this is!!!

I agree, the need for ALL of the items is really annoying. When you first start out, it doesn't seem like you actually need the items. "mm...ok, feed my orb random crap...(later)...wtf I need specific ITEMS for the orb?!".

Another annoying thing would be the camera...omggg...the camera is pretty horrible imo, especially when you're fighting.

And leveling too...ughhhmyGod...

But overall, it's a pretty fun game...if you have the time.

Hoepfully, the next One Piece game could be a tad easier.

Why? Just cause he has a long nose? Sheesh, I like Usopp because he's the only one who's actually "human" and can still kick ass. What he lacks in strength he makes up with in smarts. He's the reason Nami can fight. And you should see Usopp vs. Luffy. He loses, but he's winning throughout most of it, and if he can do that good under heavy injury, I'd have loved to see how far he'd have gotten if he was at full strength in that battle. Continued from previous: try giving the original a chance. 4kids editted all of Usopp's battles to still make him look like a pansy even on those various occassions where he won, oh, and a moment where he saved Luffy's life, hell, the entire story arc was taken out. This was when the crew was almost turned into wax and Luffy was under the spell of a Baroque agent. He burned Luffy's shirt so her control painting was gone and he burned the huge-ass candle, which saved the crew just in time.
