A friend of mine's growing some Venus fly traps, says she has to periodically catch bugs for 'em, though I prefer your "bait" method more. Very awesome. :)
@danoob2110 lol, and all i have to do is throw water at them. they're better than any pesticide... and, as a bonus, they also clean up the dead bodies and give me oxygen
@PhazonSwimmy they're opportunistic omnivores. they bring prey to their young and use nectar for energy for themselves mostly. they're visiting the purpurea for the sweet smell they emit, then they find the nectar and plunge into the trap
