It was not the BBC filming this, nor their own camera crew, It was a private filming crew! David Reichert, one of the most experienced underwater cameramen in the world and Shane Moore.

They kept their distance from the hungry humpbacks but while they were filming one of the a smaller herring bait balls, a whale appeared from the depths and took all the fish in one giant mouthful. Fortunately, the cameraman and whale were at a safe distance from one another the whale was only interested in lunch!
