  • Long and short: I'm a bartender, and a drunk. So I pour much heavier than the bar wants me to. Know why? Because I want to get people drunk and have a good time. If you're paying 6 or so dollars for a jack and coke you should get at the VERY least from a stingy bartender a shot and a half because the bottle costs the bar about 18 bucks. I do scam on occasion but never scam the customers. I scam the bar that's working on a 300%-800% mark up on price. A SODA COSTS 8 CENTS TO FILL: YOU: $2.95!

  • its stupid ,in most places there are cctv cameras if a person gets a drink the it must be cashed in otherwise its stealing

  • I agree this video is pretty stupid and they have no idea what there talking about...Bar sells 1oz. drinks, bartender short pours 1/4oz. every drink, pockets money every fourth drink! We do this cause most people are cheap f$#%'s!!! If you take care of us we take care of you!!! To all you "bartenders" who say you don't scam, you're either a newbie or full of s.......

  • ive had loads of bartenders try to give me a drink with no booze in it after av had a few there's loads of scheming bastards out there i mean come on ffs if i owned a bar i would happily give my staff a big bonus at the end of the week for pulling that shit off

  • this is lame... nobody does this. quit scaring customers away from my bar!

  • I work at a bar and we have different pour spouts that do pour different amounts. But that is where a good bartender notices where the fill line is for a good shot. I wouldn't want to underpour for my bar patrons. If a drink isn't good, they won't order another. I hate jiggers. That is just my own comment. I hate using them.

  • lol. nice rack.

  • seriously, this is not true in most of the bars....

  • wtf did she just put ice in a sniffter glass ??

  • WTF

  • I've been a bartender in Italy, and Florida. -at local pubs, nightclubs, and even the airport. I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANY OF THIS ANYWHERE. It's asinine. No bartender would EVER do this. EVER. I suppose I could dream this stuff up for a good news story, and it's a great story -right up there with weapons of mass destruction. Don't believe this sh*t!

  • read the description ffs,

    joke, prank, japanese GADGETS ...

like is said in the link in the vid ... J-gadgets ...

ofcourse a real bartender wouldn't pull this off

every normal person would see that the whole bottle of tonic can't fit in 1 glass if there is gin added ... but still true, don't believe it

  • there are bad people in the world, it's not a totally unreasonable prospect

  • This is the dumbest thing I've ever seen....I've bartended for 8 years all over L.A. and I've never seen any of this happen. It just doesn't make any sense for a bartender to short a customer (unless he is being a complete tool or not tipping AT ALL). We work for tips. It makes a lot more sense for the bartender to scam their bar...not the customer.

  • totally agreed. this is dumb

  • Glad I live in Canada, where (any bar I'VE been to anyway) doesn't use metal shot glasses (that one made me laugh), or pour drinks AWAY from the customer (the Gin trick) or use narrow spouts (rather obvious one, frankly). Where I live, the bartender gets caught doing anything like this and they're chased out of a job and or/city.

  • These people "DON'T OWN THE BAR".... so why would you short the drink!? REAL Bartender's make heavy drinks for HEAVY tips.... This video is stupid.

  • Most people don't tip much. Again, as I said in my last post, some girls can earn up to 2k a night. You don't have to short the customer, you just have to short the bar.

  • Where are you from bbg5000? In America it doesn't work that way at all... I'm curious if I go to London I would have to watch out for this shit, because i'm asking for a measured pour if this shit goes on, and slapping the bartender in the face with my C*CK...

  • How many bars and restaurants have you worked in? lol

  • Another scam in bars is to bring your own alcohol to sell. Bartender smuggles in a couple cases of beer, which may only cost 50$ total. Sell each beer for 5$, make a shit ton of money back. This happens in many large bars, and this is how many beer tub girls can make over 2k in a single night (friday/saturday). Bringing in your own hard liquor is more profitable. Another is adding water to the bottles at the end of the night to increase the weight, and therefore increase your earnings.

  • p.s

how would this possibly benefit the bartender in any way? ( unless you owned the place) and how many bars do you go to where you cant see them make the drink. it is rude!

  • Because at the end of the night, in many bars, you would weigh the alcohol. Then you'd pay for what was used when you do your cash out. The rest would be considered "tips". Simple example, if you pour 10 drinks, that use 2 ounces each, but you only give 1 ounce, then you get to keep the cost of 5 drinks, approx 25$ or more. Usually the owner would be in on it.

  • bbg5000... I don't know where your from but that is not the case AT ALL. so your saying a double is 4 ounces? Stupid.

  • What are you talking about? When did I say a double was 4 ounces?

  • ..... he takes fukin ages to move back and forth around the bar getting tonic and shit. and what else? is there 10 plates of different types of gin depending what sort of gin people want... i know if i saw my bartender pouring some tanqueray onto a plate id make him pay for the bottle, drink it then take him out the back and smash the empty over his face and stab him with the glass. then walk back in and slap the customer who was so blind he didntt see it ! why do these people get paid to lie?

  • BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAhAhAhAHAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone who watches this and believes anything about this is a fukin moron and needs to be beaten down.. the fukin whole thing is obviously pre thought... if you were to rip someone off by rimming a glass with gin you would have to be retarded not to see him doing it let alone him doing it in the first place... in case nobody notices the camera fast forwards while he is getting the drink. when he re-inacts .................

  • I suppose this happens... Most bartenders don't have time to BS around like this, though...

  • maybe if you'd tip, like in america, you would'nt have this problem....

    cheap bastards...

  • Here in Las Vegas drinks are super expensive in some of the high end clubs and not so high end too. Then they expect a big tip. Some do deserve it others not really

  • exactly man, here is australia, tipping isn't expected so it doesn't happen often, i get 5 dollars from my regulars who come once a week, the rest is 5 cents or 10 cents here and there

  • The saying always goes: No bartender will give you the ounce you paid for.

  • i want to bum jess

  • Good way to get the drunk drivers of the road.

  • really any bartender who does this shit, i hope they die in a fire, after having a shitty easter

  • Youre kidding right, how wouldnt you notice no gin in the drink

  • By adding some alcohol to the rim!

    You think you're noticing it

  • Most bartenders are not trying to stiff customers. I'm a bartender & all bartenders know that if you make a strong drink then maybe you will get a good tip & a happy guest who will come back. But managers often try to control what we r pouring. I work for a bar & I pour strong drinks but then our liquor costs went up so we have to use jiggers or we could get fired. I still try to make strong drinks for ppl but there is only so much I can do without having to charge extra or risk getting fired.

  • When I get a weak drink...I just ask them to put a little more in...they allways do...the drunker you get...the more you dont notice.

  • this is such crap.

  • I worked as a bartender for a few years and truste me when I say the bartenders would give you more alcohol for more money. The first clip of the gin, it is only if the owner itself would be pouring you a drink as he would try to reduce its booze cost with less amount served. Another big factor is that in most of the clubs by now has a automatic pourer, which allows the bartender to pour the amount it suppose to go on a drink!

TRUST YOUR BARTENDERS 'CAUSE THEY WON'T BENEFICT ON RIPPING YOU OFF!

  • i am a bartender. for the most part the bartender is not trying to hustle you. how would short pouring benefit us? we work for tips. if anything its the owner of the bar thats trying to rip you off and there always bartenders trying to rip off the owner. giving free or strong drinks for a bigger tip, and charging you for a drink and pocketting the cash instead of putting it in the register are the big ones. trust your bartender... unless you own a bar.

  • I believe you!

  • Being stingy on the pooring? Those crimes should be punishable by death or life in prison. I also don't know how those bartenders expect to make decent tips stiffing on the alcy like that.

  • cmon buy a bottle and drink it!

if u always so stupid to buy in the club well that is your problem!

drink before and go to the club! :)

  • see benind the barman

rule NO.1:red bull style cooler is always standing "on" the bar rule NO.2 :always with LOGO facing!

rule NO.3: only Red Bull in the cooler , no other drinks

rule NO.4: always serve cold can Red Bull to people !

  • the one and only rule: no red bull in a bar.

  • roflcopter, sounds like a Redbull representative if I have ever heard one.

  • thats why you go with good old beer lol...

  • chck out my profile! its way better! N

  • i waan get into jess's knickers

  • Its funny because that old bag at the end knew from the get go that she was getting a light drink.

  • Oh please any idiot would notice how little gin was in that.

  • I dont drink so can't be scamed ;)

Hmmm wait i dont go to bar neither...

  • This is why u bring a gun to the joint.

  • this is stupid

  • what the hell!?! The "scam" pourer the guy uses is a standard spirit pourer used in every cocktail bar i have worked (and had a drink in) in the last 5 years all over london... the idiot doesn't know what he's doing or talking about!! He does'nt even hold the bottle right! The bigger pourer is a juice pourer for god sakes!! I love this show but now they're giving honoust barmen like myself a bad name!!

  • i know! i've never seen a pourer that wide used for spirits.

  • I realy hope you dont do that in real life Because someone will send this video to somebody that was going to hire you And show your disgusting ways.

PS Why would you do that.
