  • Bravo! undoubtedly Piyali De has mastered the skill, credit goes to her Guru too. She is really graceful and has performed very well.dpinvogue mentioned the item as 'Battu', I beg to differ, I think it's a Pallavi, another pure dance item.I can't guess the Raga. Can anyone mention it?

  • OK I am just a beginner in Odissi, so it's excellent to see someone with much more knowledge setting me correct. Thanks for the info :-)

  • Odissi dance takes such skill.very nice.I wonder the story she is telling in dance.

  • It is pure dance, that is movements that do not tell a story. Additionally, the item is called Battu Nrutya, which is a pure dance item.

  • exquisite dancing!! i luv it so much!!

  • Great dance. Is the dancer wearing something on her fingers to make them seem longer?

  • As far as I can see, and from asking my teacher, Odissi dancers do not wear any extensions, unlike, for example, fon lep dancers from Thailand. She is wearing altaa or red stain on her hands.

  • please...does anybody know me to speak which the name of that music?
