I really like castiel and Bobby being dead. It makes it more of a challenge for sam and dean and makes them a bit more independent. Having these two sources really slowed down the show. I love Bobby. Am a fan of castiel but I feel he over stayed his welcome. They said they burned Bobby but they also burned Adam. Didn't hesitate to bring him back for season 5. Angels are too informative. Get them out of the show!

I dont think its Bobby. I think the writers just used it to show that Dean is coping by drinking. I think he actually did just drink it without noticing.

Maybe I'm out of line but my first thought is that Sammy made the beer disappear because his powers are slowly coming back. He kept looking that the beer with disapproval and all his earlier attempts to talk Dean to not drink so much failed. Make in the episode The Mentalist, I thought Sammy "broke" the spoon because it reminded me of season 1 Dean teasing Sam to bend the spoon with his mind.

I thought the exact same thing, agree 100%. If it weren't important, it would've just been totally random and I don't think they wouldn't have wasted time on that scene. The focus on angels/ demons is not this season, it does seem this was a hint for Bobby as a ghost. Otherwise, it was just showing Dean tired and out of it from mourning/no sleep. I hope Bobby stuck around, pretty shocking they killed off both Cass & Bobby this season, esp. Bobby. And... there's still half a season remaining.
