I was raised mormon, I know the doctrine like the back of my hand... I can formulate my own opinion because of that. My grandfather was a bishop for YEARS. I went to church every sunday and was fully involved in church activities. Unfortunately yall are very mislead.

I was baptized at 12 and now hate the mormon faith for the mistreatment of my black parents. I am not gambling my soul with any religion. Religion can't save you. The Bible was given to us as our light. It utterly destroys the BOM in all areas of truth and accuracy. It warned you to reject any other gospel. It also warns you not to pray for knowledge, only wisdom, which is the proper use of knowledge obtained in the Bible, yet you are told to pray to see if the BOM is true. If you "feel" yes and the Bible says no, they who is right?
This is no argument, it's a plea for your salvation!

It may appear that the religions to choose from are all equally right, or have an equal chance at truth. But if you ever decide to research doctrine, you will see more clearly.
God set rules, or tests rather, for people that claim to be a prophet, because He warned many would make the claim and lead others away. J. Smith failed that test several times, but you only need to fail once.
Don't take my word for it. Research biblical doctrine. Some good starting keywords are BIBLE VS BOOK OF MORMON

There is a hell (aka dark hole) but only a handful of people will go there. The hell that is refered to in the scriptures is actually telestial kingdom. Wich is the lowest kingdom in heaven that you can go too. If u've lived a good life then you will go to the terestial kingdom. If u've lived a better life then you will go the the celestial kingdom. To reach the highest kingdom in the celestial kingdom u must be married and sealed in the temple. There r 3 kingdoms in the celestial kingdom.

The only church I know that does baptisms for the dead is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormon church).

Baptism of the dead was a non-biblical practice of the Corinthian church. In context, Paul writes this as an answer to the city's questions about resurrection. He's saying, "If you don't believe in life after death, why are you concerned with the dead?"
Common in the pagan religions of Greece and is still practiced today by some cults; but it doesn't change a person's sentence, for that is determined while he lives (Luke 16:26).

Hebrews 9:27 tells us that we die, and then face judgment. So, as long as a person is alive, he has a second, third, fourth, fifth, etc. chance to accept Christ and be saved (John 3:16; Romans 10:9-10; Acts 16:31). Once a person dies, there are no more chances.
Sorry, that was a pagan practice, as are many rituals. If you read the whole Bible, and keep it in context, and believed everything it says, you would see the Book of Mormon is a false gospel.
