i never heard that a person died in the wreck. bodine is alive and has full use of his legs. but the wreck itself is the worst ive have ever seen. no wreck is worse than this to me, non-fatal, at least.

this was a scary one i was at this race farther down from where he hit. i cant belived he walked away from this with just few broken bones

Geoffrey Bodine continued to race a limited schedule in the cup series untill he retired last year. He was not paralyzed at all. And no one in the stands had more than minor injuries. Stop posting crap tommy

Geoff Bodone finished THIRD in the Daytona 500 in the #09 Dodge just a year or two after this wreck folks. NO ONE IN THE STANDS DIED. Crap. What's wrong with people here?

Geoff Bodine isn't paralyzed - broken bones, a concussion and some burns, that was it. He's alive and well designing bobsleds for the USA bobsled team.
And nobody was killed in the crash - driver, fans, or officals. 5 fans were injured, but the injuries were minor.
