  • I have a Sidero improvisation book, but have not started on it yet. I will check it out. Disappointing that many good books are written in treble clef. Thanks for the tip.

  • Knotty, where do you find your backing tracks? Bass and drums are just superb on those. Blows Band-in-a-Box out of the water.

  • @tromboneJTS they're from a Jim Snidero book called Jazz Conception for piano. They have versions for Alto, Tenor, clarinet etc.. maybe even trombone. they are great.

  • Silver plays Hefti! Not a great improvisation, I would say. Still: your left hand comps with passing chords I do not use, so thanks for showing me. Like Art Tatum used to say: every pianist has a story.
