  • Sorry to say but I did not like this recipe :( I think next time Ill try stuffing pre-made roti rather than mixing flour with dal.

  • looks yummy ! will definately make using ur recipe.. thx for this vid. :)

  • I have to write 2 exams that I haven't studied for tomorrow and I'm more concerned about remembering to make some roti in the morning... I need to get my priorities straight.

  • I love your videos I love indian food and this is awesome

  • @ShowMeTheCurry

I liked your recipe. If u want to add onion and want to puff up roti, you can grate the onion instead of finely chopped.

  • @khushboo82

    Great suggestion...thanks for sharing!

  • Great Job Ladies! looks delicious~

  • nice recipe ladies....i love daal. In my country we have daal puri which I think is Bihari or UP can you give us your recipe for Dal Puri

  • @shfullclip9mm

We will put that on our list to do.

  • It is interesting to note that some Common Indians are also middle class, and although they cannot afford ovens they can afford computers to look up for upper class Indian recipes. Anyway girls, we find your videos very helpful. Thank you.

  • Ty Can You Make Pasta ITs Very Hard For Me But Anyways Ty I Always Eat That Now:)

  • @ToHotSoFly: We do have a few videos on Pasta dishes. Pl. search our website or our YouTube channel.

  • Can you make a roti with left over raajma?

  • @zut212

Its a little harder, but you could possibly mash the rajma and mix in your flour.

  • you guys need to stop being so judgemental they are doing this for your pleasure and nobody is perfect

  • This show is not for common middle class INDIANs I think, because you girls always cook in oven ...while most of the families do not use it here...also missi roti is prepared withwheat flour and besan (gramm flour). i am seeing it for the first time with moong daal

  • @lotusforu

We cater to all kinds of people from all over the world. This includes cooking experts, first timers in the kitchen, vegetarians, non-vegetarians, people with well equipped kitchens, students living in dormitories, etc. With that said, it becomes nearly impossible for every recipe or video to be suitable for everyone.

We hope you will find our many non-oven recipes useful to you.

  • Hi, can you please tell me how to make paranthas crispy and how to make them soft?may be they need two different ways........please explain

    "chakla" and in Gurjarati "adni".

  • dont make dhail sada roti dear i can see allo puri

  • nani made it fresh ok before freezer was invented

  • But we are not in Nani days anymore. We have evolved since then. I would like to know how many types of Dahl do you know besides Split Peas. Just for curiosity.

  • dang... now I'm hungry x)

  • Most modern refrigerators work well to preserve left overs at least for a few days.

  • i am indian too basi dhall can do a number in your stomach ok stale food cooking is being kohrie lazy

  • try buying a good company's fridge. u may be having a subpar fridge.

  • Left over food is not the same as 'stale food.' Don't bash these women. It is not laziness if breads or doughs are kept frozen. Any type of Breads can be frozen for a long time. U can freeze just about anything. There are so many frozen foods. Birds Eye sell a lot of frozen foods. Food poisoning can be from any bad food.

Ktrini, keep an open mind & don't be afraid to try something new. Nothing is written stone. But I'm telling you from experience. Even cheese & milk can be frozen.

  • whatever my mai will throw their ass out of her kitchen ok fresh food is her motto just as her thoughts ok try to reheat chapati and see the darn thing get dried just after same as dhall it get sour and bhai just as we indians lkie to put all the spices in ha make ity worst to keep down burp stale peas yet i am not bashing the ladies i am just not a stale food or a freezer girl ok thanks for the comment bhai namastay

  • @ktrini1953 U obviously don't know anything about Punjabi food. Get a damn fridge u neanderthal. It's not spoilt DAAL it's leftover DAAL. Educate yourself before you open ur mouth and prove that ur foolish.

  • @nworb Glad you point that out to me . I can cook dear . nothing you do impress me thanks

  • The problem is that you must refrigerate as soon as possible else bacteria will set in. Especially in a Hot country food goes badly quickly. Dahl can be refrigerated for a couple of days. Why not put some in the freezer itself and keep the rest in the back of the refrigerator & use within a few days then this would limit bacterial growth. Its a recession can't afford to throw food away. Dahl is made in my household every week & I don't have any problem. These women gives good advice.

  • could chickpea flour be used as a substitute for chapati flour? i dont eat wheat or gluten.

  • irfan's request below is good but it depends on if u have the skill to handle millet flour or u might not be used it due to demographics (where you r from i.e. eastern Guj's r not big fans like us western Guj's r).

But we're big fans in western Guj and also in desert areas of Kutch/rajasthan and sindh. but sorry irfan I am a novice & it takes some skill 2 handle millet.

Millet is also great tasting and also excellent for those with gluten/wheat allergies.

  • You are right...working with millet is a bit tricky and requires some practice (similar to makki ki roti).

  • Wow thats great. just flicking through ur channel and this looked interesting. Its just like yummy Theplas!

On the point of using up stuff, we usually use up left over rice to make theplas (nearly exactly how you have done this), another great Gujarati recipe is muthiya dhoklas where again you can use up any left over rice.

But this is great as I never knew how to use up left over daal apart from just eating it!

  • nissa row tee

  • roti

  • Great Idea.... But can you tell me where i can get the wax papers? In Indian stores or local ones?

  • Any grocery store-Walmarts, kroger etc carry it.

  • Thank You....

  • you can't even see their legs. douchebag

  • do you know to make flat bread with millet flour. I have tried the same ingredient as you do but it fell apart. Whole wheat is very heavy for me so i used this kind of flour. Hope you can help. thank you.
