only the 8800 allows you to real-time record the playing of patterns off the pads including audio phrases.

Its in the workshop tutorials and manual

there is a way to trigger your patterns (in song mode) like realtime triggering.

But it's the hard way,but still sounds the same as realtime.

But you still know that right?

thanks for the help i now have 3.5.2. now i have a nother quest, can a lay down a track in pattern mode then mix it down & burn it ? are do i have to lay the beat down in sequence mode

Theres 8 audio tracks available not 1.

Also midi is NOT audio , theres 128 midi tracks which is where you would sequence your drums NOT on an audio track.

when you sample individual drum sounds you would want to create a PATCH which is another word for " drum kit ". The you load that patch after yousave it in the instrument section.

You really need to read the manual and watch all the instructional videos. Also read up on midi and audio recording so you understand whats going on.

The MV comes with several EP patches stock. The rhodes EP patch i used in this video is my own custom patch i made.

You need to upgrade the OS to version 3.5.2 which is available on the Roland website with directions on how to do it.

Yes you have 8 audio tracks to record vocals or live instruments such as guitars , sax , trumpets , bass , mic'ed amps , anything.
