Larry is one of my favorite comedians, and has been so since the 80's. I used to go to comedy during the "Comedy Boom" of the 80's in SF, and my friends and I always thought Bubbles was one of the best. Really funny and easy to watch. Very clever and likable. I think he'd be a great character actor if the right director got ahold of him.
Whatever the art form or endeavor, a wise person will ask those in that given arena to rate the best in their chosen field. Larry Bubbles Brown is what those of us in the business refer to as "A comic's comic".
Brilliant set from a master writer, performer, and above all, a great friend.
He has done that in his set. This was a very short set where he has no time to tell stories, he had to do his good material, which CBS went over and had to approve before hand.
You're awesome Larry - great set! Can't wait for the merchandise: t-shirts, coffee mugs, buttons, magnets and bumper stickers - all saying, "MWAAAWHH!!!"
Well I posted it so I guess I should comment. Larry I'm glad that all the sets I gave you at The Pleasanton Hotel has propelled you to such stardom! Seriously though you deserve all the credit and you were awesome. I was so proud of you like you were my neglected stepchild.
