What 3D? Its just a low res computer animation. 3D When you are physically there this is not 3D just an animation running on tv BULLSHÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍT
@SeedKnightSiefer you do realize that your looking at this video from a monitor thats probably not capable of 3D, plus this video was not recorded in 3D. So you'd never be able to see the 3D effect unless you were actually there standing in front of the tv screen.
next when your walking down the street a 300in screen will project jaws and he will eat you. as everyone around u laughs you will pee yourself (back to the future anyone??)
@gh123man In that movie, it was just a hologram, and CGI. And I'm telling you, 3D, fails, there are health risks involved with it too. To me, the 3D movies and televisions, are worth far more than the experience. I hope the trend dies, but I know it's not going to.
This is definitely the future! if they can get it to market (2009 seemed a little over optimistic) no one wants to wear those glasses all the time! I'd like to see how the 3D effect stands up to the one that needs the glasses, because that does look amazing.
This thing works by displaying two different images and using a fancy convoluted lens to throw the images separately to the different eyes. It only works from directly in front. From the sides you will see a double image. It works in much the same way the holographic stickers do.
wouldnt a blind eye 3d tv need to show (like a paper hologram) zizagy screen from the up and down sides,so that would mean seeing from the side would only give 2d pictures but seeing from the front will let you see both side images making them 3d from the blind eye?
The only 3D effect in this item is the actual distance between the LCD screens... nor more... no less... no in-between. THIS IS NOT true 3D. You MUST present a different image to each eye to be real 3D. All you see here is the constant number of "inches" between the two LCD screens. This effect here, while interesting, is a "gimmick" and would not last long with "true 3D" coming out soon.
this is an actually joke you cant call that 3d unless they flicker the images into your eyes at differnt times using the glasses tricking your brain to make it pop out, this doesnt do this its just enhanced hd! + them videos there showing you on it have obv been made for that convention pfft
i believe they are using 2 lcd's, one of the kinda transparent and extruded some distance from the back lcd. so it does not deliver as much depth and intensity as a 3d monitor using polarization, but as he said - you dont need glasses...
@isaacyagmoor actually its 3D when 3 dimensions are involved, so all displays are 2D... but Anaglyphic Display TV, Polarization Display TV, Alternate-Sequencing TV or in this case Autostereoscopic Display TV don't roll off the tongue as easy as 3D TV...
I'd abstain calling anyone dumb shit if you're going to be sounding like one... at least learn what 3D really means.
Why would you need to buy that 3d display if you can see it in this youtube video?

I think this is roughly the same technology used in the new Nintendo 3DS.
It only really works for the person viewing directly in front of it as you get ghosting if you view from the side.

what's next 3D phones? then technology is moving so fast it's ridiculous.

You can't see the 3D effect in this video because the camera used wasn't made to record in 3D. Even if it was; your screen doesn't supports 3D video.
