Stefan is the only person in character who has the guts to state the obvious about how and why middle years L&L stopped working. Laura grew up and they were never the same. And, speaking of lust - I always felt that much of early L&L was based on lust. Once Genie started to show her age it affected L&L as well. The writers couldn't come up with enough exciting dialogue that compensated for early L&L's eternal sexual escapades.

@stefan103 Even tho I'm a die hard L&L fan I can see your point. I think they grew apart, esp during this s/l BUT every time we saw GF and TG in a scene together there was still a connection. I guess that's what made this whole story even more real to me, bc there are so many layers in love. His speech in this clip makes so much sense to me but I think a LOT of that has to do with good acting and let's not forget that GF can create chemistry with just about any actor on the planet.

I think Stefan just stated the difference between him and Luke. He was right that the images burned a whole in Luke. That's what destroyed him even though he'd done the same with Holly and Laura got over it. Luke never could get over it. He couldn't bear that Stavros was dead but she had Nik to remind him then he couldn't bear that she'd been with Stefan and he was still alive. Luke was driven crazy with his own jealousy. Stefan was made of sterner stuff because of his life.

SN is AMAZING! I love their chemistry. The way he keeps eye contact with her is so intense. And GF is awesome here. These years were when GH was a beautiful thing to watch. The contrast, for me, between then and now is striking. I cannot believe they let Stefan go from the canvas. Stupid, stupid, stupid!
