My thoughts exactly. If something's gonna teach them that crime doesn't pay, it's the abuse. If the jail is like a hotel, you won't regret anything. You'll go back there gladly. But if jail is like hell, you won't EVER want to go back there. I don't think they put those who didn't pay the alimony in such jails. These are the worst murderers, rapists and whatnot. They deserve it.

Well, I must say that I disapprove drugs, even if it's just used for innocent fun. Just not a thing for me to accept.
I disapprove beating in general, especially in normal prisons but I don't think anyone should care for mass murderers/robbers/rapists and whatnot in the really high threat prisons. About them being armed and wearing helmets.. I think it's mainly for the purpose of intimidating the inmates. They don't see faces. They see helmets and balaclavas when they are abused. Good enough to break some. Plus - if any of these inmates steals the baton, they wear protection just for such occasions.
Let's say - he's a repeated rapist. Or a mass murderer. He'll be sent to a jail to sit there for the rest of his life, most of the times without ability to apply for re-consideration. Thus- he'll sit there for next, let's say, 30 years eating and living on the expense of taxpayers. Why should they pay for that? He is only a burden.
It's somewhat harsh, and morally challenging, but I see no reason why do I have to pay for some monster to live in pretty much not too bad conditions(not talking about russian jails now) while so many homeless people could use shelters.
I've met many homeless people who were really nice and kind. Yet I don't see them around. In Poland many homeless die in the winter. I'd rather pay for shelters than and social help than housing for murderer's.

Well, I must say that I disapprove drugs, even if it's just used for innocent fun. Just not a thing for me to accept.
I disapprove beating in general, especially in normal prisons but I don't think anyone should care for mass murderers/robbers/rapists and whatnot in the really high threat prisons. I'd shoot them all just for the sake of spending less money on their worthless lives but I guess not everyone has same point as I do.

I've met many homeless people who were really nice and kind. Yet I don't see them around. In Poland many homeless die in the winter. I'd rather pay for shelters than and social help than housing for murderer's.
