Yo I skim in NY. If any of you guys come to NY bring your skimboards. You can prob crash at my house...as long as you don't hit on my sisters LOL. Yo Jersey People let me know when a bunch of you are going out to skim in a group. I'm Game!
its a stretch of private beach including green hill in south kingston. its not well known but honestly it can get amazing and is surprisingly consistent if you no what you're doing. it just doesnt have waves that go for so long because of the beat-up shelf where the close-breaking waves are.
i've heard that east beach is the best by far but i've never been and i'm not old enough to drive myself other places. my friend went to jersey and he described waves similar to these, but he had never seen anything like it in RI, where he's even more local than me. where do you know that it's like the waves in this vid?
east beach is similar along with blue shudders as well. ive skimmed there only once. theres a huge incline so you build up speed pretty quick. i mostly skim Scarbarough in Narragansett, RI. it gets pretty decent, but i got the place wired and you gotta know the beach to know how to ride it the right way. ive heard good things about charlestown breachway as well.
nice edit
