hey man, im trying to find the synth pattern/tones that rammstein uses for stripped. having no knowledge of how to get something like that, is there a place to download syth midis or do you know of a specific model that they use or anything? im just looking to get pointed in the right direction. you just sound knowledgeable about this and i wanted your opinion
Depends really... Flake Lorenz (Rammstein's keyboard player) uses some very strange methods to get the sound he wants. A lot of his sounds are made by sampling synthesizers into his Ensoniq ASR-10 sampler. He uses that to add effects, stack different sounds, add weird and wonderful modulation, etc. That said, he does use a lot of pure synth stuff. Not to mention commercial samples too.
I think he was being sarcastic. But, i have a question about the keyboard. Do you have to have external amplification to play and if so, would a regular guitar amp work?
Thanks. I have been playing piano and guitar for 3 years now, and i am really looking for a keyboard that i can use for making music and playing live. The Roland GW-7 is my top choice at the moment.

what synth are you using now?? for example a roland fantom x/g has an site were patches can be found.

Yes it will work perfectly, but it works best with an active input on a guitar amplifier.

Roland Juno-G is also interresting, It has the sounds of a Roland Fantom X and he isn't that more expansive.:-)
