I've long believed Casio's claims to be exaggerated. The watches are shock resistant, not bash resistant. A car running over one is pliable rubber against pavement. Metal bat to concrete cinder block is two hard surfaces against each other. It won't end well.

A good test is to suspend the watch with a cord, then bash it with a wooden bat. Closer to real world.
