  • I CAN SAID THIS SHORT IS MORE LIKE "' THX1138'''

  • This is truely beautiful! reminds me of the prisoner :)

  • Nicely made, but doesn't really do anything for me other than make me wish there was a coherent storyline

  • I wish there was people like you here in toronto - it seems no one wants to collab or won't respond to e-mails just to go out and create cool things like this - very inspiring work.

  • @Gamer2Gamers i have the same problem too, try to do as much possible with what you have (all i had was one actor). Eventually people come around when they appreciate your work :)

  • hey, great film, what lenses did u use, and did u shot Black and white or its post ?

  • @alexpj19 thanks! I used the Canon 17-55 IS almost exclusively - I have other lenses but I wanted to shoot many scenes wide because showing the locations, the world this man lives in, was obviously important in this film. I shot native black and white as well, I think it's better to do so because things look different in BW, for instance certain shots will look better if textures and shapes are prominent so it's important to see that instantly as you shoot :)

  • Nice! I like the fact that the short film didn't need any words to explain the meaning.

  • @YetAnthony thanks! Though there are some words in the epilogue to explain some things in case you didn't get it but it was more for the purpose of showing that there is some ground behind the possibility of this future.

  • Hey I loved the futuristic feel of your film. The cinematography is mesmerising!!

    Take a bow man!!

  • @roshinishah thank you. I can't take full credit though, if I did anything well, it's because I stood on the shoulders of giants. Most of the ideas from this movie were inspired by other incredible sci fi movies, highly recommended: "2001", "blade runner", "thx 1138", "equilibrium", "zeitgeist" which is actually a documentary and I have always admired the sonic atmosphere of david lynch films and the look of the futuristic cities in "Superman" and this graphic novel called "Terminal City" :)

  • i'm so inspired by this film!!!! i wanna make one too...

  • @animehunter0808 there's nothing more fulfilling than being able to inspire others the way I've always been inspired by filmmakers. This film was one of the least expensive films I've ever made (all I had is a friend in a suit holding a briefcase, a camera and a laptop) and we could only shot for one day. Yet it's one of my best films which goes to show that it's not about resources, it's about resourcefulness. Anyone can do it, and should do it, if they want to do it.

  • That was pretty cool! I liked the music. Very futuristic and something you can kinda move to. The film was mysterious and it was like reading a hard book that made you think and hard it did. Just a mystery of a film. I liked it. Cool.

  • amazing...havent been impressed with a short film like that in a looooong time!

  • Very impressive cinematography. The dark tone creates a brooding atmosphere of uneasiness and fear. Very nice.

  • Good stuff, very good stuff

  • very impressive film
