Interesting montage. I had Robowarrior (Bomber King) for the NES, and it was very difficult but brought sparkly gunfire to the table. Now I play the Click Wheel iPod version of Bomberman -- it's good, better than the NES original (no scrolling) and looks like Dyna Blaster, which I somehow missed in the Amiga days. D'oh!
Again - I made the video to enjoy myself showing 'bomberman'-like games on various platforms that I could find. That a lot of them are not original Hudson Soft products is a true observation and the video was never intended to give a true overview.
That there isn't an official licensed Bomberman on the Commodore 64 is hereby duly noted.
May I add that although I appreciate criticism it is better received when it is clad in somewhat nicer context instead of just merely stating fact.
To continue.... merely stating fact - and being right in the process - just comes across harsh and doesn't invoke welcoming responses and interesting conversations. Instead it just makes people annoyed and disappointed.
Awesome video man - I love bomberman! Some days ago I uploaded a video of Bomberman 93 (pc engine), that I did with some friends, showing its multiplayer... Right now I wait also for Bomberman 64 and (if I can get it) also Superbomberman for the SNES :-D
Your video you just mentioned where you are playing with your friends is actually what inspired me for a subject as I do have some versions of the game lying around. I should have given you some ' inspiration credits ' :P
I just love the multiplayer mode of this game. It's hilarious especially after a couple of beers, wine, ale, coca cola, H2O with friends.
Yeah, after some beer & wine this game gets even better - hehehe... Boulderdash? I looooved Boulderdash, too!!! Seems we have the same taste of games my friend ;-D
The only one I do remember playing at least once is BugBomber for the Commodore 64. 2:02
I've never played Bomberman, except against a friend who did play the game alot. Of course, I didn't win a single time, except that night where I was finally about to win, he decided to stop playing and turn off the game... and when I've asked why he simply replies that it's his game and he can do want he want. I've never played bomberman after that.
Newcoleco is probably very busy and his new game is just out. Excellent stuff by the way. Be sure to check out his latest quickplay/playthrough video - he's even very good at his own game!

Pretty much the best retro competitive multiplayer fun you'll have! Bomberman is fun, although I never cared much for the adventure modes hah.

Yeah, the multiplayer modes are the best ever.
The Japanese Snes version is really different, it's more some sort of puzzle/bowling game than Bomberman.

Ouch that friend was sure had a hard time loosing. Traumatic experience - I see you've never fully recovered ;-)
Still I think it is a game that would convert wonderfully to Colecovision! Hint hint... :P

Yes I just HAD to do a video on this title. The multiplayer version for the TG16/PC Engine are amazing.

Says below in the right hand bottom corner when the clip is playing. But I could have missed to name this particular one.
