@megannorth71 there are a bunch of videos up on youtube that will help you with the tuning of the guitar. the string you'll have to go to a music store or something to purchase. other then, im not sure if there is much else you can do.

So if you didn't care about the lyrics and jsut wanted to play the music would you do.... D UD UU UDUDU for the 1st chord then switch and do the strumming pattern for the 2nd chord? Or for example do you do the 1st chord for D UD UU U then switch to the 2nd chord and finsih like DU D UD....etc. Haha does that make sense? Your amazing btw

it might be, if the tuning is wrong, there are a bunch of guitar tuning tutorial videos out there and i would recommend the one by expert village. if not, i play my G with a finger on the second string from he bottom on the 3rd fret, hope that helped!

its alrite, but to clarify, the way you've been playing the G chord is correct. just that for some songs, adding the extra finger just gives the chord a brighter sound :)
