@RE4gamerrrrrr It's momentum. as you run, you start running faster. Things like rolls and hard falls stop you, so you have to build up momentum again.

Some vaults or jumps are more efficient at saving momentum then others.

Also strafing while running is bad for momentum, better to mildly steer with the mouse to adjust heading.

Just finished this for the first time today having just got it recently. Gonna watch as many of these vids as I can to learn all the neat tricks and stuff. I believe that, despite relatively poor sales for Mirror's Edge, a sequel has indeed been given the go-ahead. Good news, such an original and unique game. Well worth a sequel. A shame that a majority of reviewers just totally didn't get it.

I saw a lot of mistakes here, it was done perfectly though. You could have jumped and used that crouching motion (not sure what's it like on the PS) while in mid air instead of vaulting over obstacles. Man I know so many awesome ways of completing some of the trials/runs really fast but I constantly screw up, it took me a LONG time to do the first time trial as good as I could. Though now I found even more shortcuts I could have used so I'm regreting not using them then.

You can save yourself quite a bit of time at 6:10 if you got the balls for it. Just run straight at the cops coming out of the elevator, then do a wall run to jump near them and you'll leap over them.

Just did it myself in 5:27, but saw a few spots where I could save me some more time in this vid.

at 5:25, ignore the red ramp and jump to the right. land on the metal scaffolding and roll. faster that way. Nice shortcut at 4:16 though, I didn't think of that one.

FYI, you can save a couple seconds @ 3:58. If you stop on that glass display, turn towards the wall on your left, and do a wallrun-turn-jump, you can get up to that balcony without running all the way down to the stairs and back. Otherwise good run, I can't break around 5:35 because I always forget which way to turn in the ducts.
