We have jobs for unskilled laborers in this country as a majority of them are warehouse/factory jobs. The problem is that corporations are leaving America and that started with the Free Trade Agreements of the 90's.
We need to end Nafta and the WTO agreement which allows American companies to move overseas and profit from slave wages & the decline of the American dollar.
36 and a half million people living in poverty! Help and handouts needed but, more importantly, skills TRAINING so that they can support themselves. This is what South Africa needs too for its poor....both black AND white.
Bush cut $200 million from workforce training programs for dislocated workers! Also Reagon put the mental ill out on the streets, but had plenty of money for the star wars program, and corporate tax breaks, and bush pushed throught your tax cut, 43% of which goes to the wealthiest 1% of Americans.
it sucks that people are homeless, unfortunately they are unable to compete for jobs... or get a start of a life on their own because of having no money
the government just needs to butt out...they create more problems than solutions.

holy shit, that is crazy how many homeless ppl there are. that guy makes a good point, they need to gain skills, not be pushed aside temporarily.
