This is an underrated game. I'm a fan of the WipEout series, but I love this game as much as WipEout. I even have a Fatal Inertia custom soundtrack playlist on youtube which is mostly oldskool WipEout music. The xbox version looks better than the ps3 version though.

1. Thumbs up if you have literally never been more frustrated and tense when trying to win every single race in every series (when you'd get 1st in the first 3 races, only to like, hit a tree and spin out on the 4th and it ends up making you NOT get 1st)

2. This is so fucking fun holy shit I ACTUALLY believe I might be the best player ever, I can do all the DRAGON PEAK levels without hitting anything.

3. The only achievement I don't have is the 36 time trial one.

I think I played the demo for this on the PS3 and hated it...

This game is an absolute blast during the first two days or so. Then, you get to play the Elite (aka Controllerthrower RAGE 3000 HD BS FFFFUUUUUUU Remix) mode and it's EXTREMELY hard, like playing FM3 without any assists. At 600 mp/h. Then you go on to the World Championships. I swear to God, that was the hardest sh*t I ever played, you get 4 or so races to win against racers with infinite powerups which all take about 10 minutes. 1 little error in 40 minutes you'll be 7th. I wish I was kidding.

In my opinion, WipEout is the best game of this genre ... WipEout HD has the best animation and gameplay I've seen for future racers, so I would try that game out before this one - Fatal Inertia is still pretty epic though!

@SportsCarCore Eh, I tried WipEout, and honestly, it dont seem as creative as Fatal Inertia. I mean granted it has way better graphics, but the tracks are narrow and poorly designed (especially that tight technical snow level) and the gameplay is really stagnant sometimes because the velocity would say like 300 mph but it feels like Im doing 100mph, you know what I mean? But yea, WipEout seems to be a better game, but Fatal Inertia seems to be an underrated game like Blur, fun but unpopular.
