As dirtysummabishes stated, that is why she wore sunglasses. I know her and she would never do anything to be disrespectful. Her eyes were just so tearful and red, that the only way to cover her eyes was wearing the sunglasses. She had ask the family of Tammy if this was ok, and they gave their approval. So anyone who doesnt know the behind the scenes situation, should not talk about what is appropriate or inappropriate.

I remember watching this live on one of the "big news channels." How beautiful and chilling. God gives us all gifts..not matter what they are. Thru the years I have learned, It's up to us to find them. And Ms. Judd did just that. What a truly, truly, beatiful rendition of this classic! RIP Ms. Wynette

I notice that about people too, especially celebraties, they wear sunglasses to hide the fact they are human and have been crying. What's the point.  Take the dang things off and show your red, swollen eyes like any other human being who is grieving.

@ServusGrueziHallo Having sung at numerous funerals, the glasses can actually be a crutch to help you not see other people crying as much. It does help a singer to get through the music. Its why I wear them sometimes.
