I've had a Cockatiel for 15 years. When they are scared they don't make noise they sit there shut up and avoid you as much as possible they also will attempt to fly clipped or not you scare a cockatiel they show it. There crest goes UP! and their eyes get really wide they unfluff completely and stare directly at whatever is scaring them with one eye not two. This bird is not scared it's quite amused. Also seems to be enjoying the attention. It's not scared. End of story.
