4000 lb truck out guns cars have its weight ,easily 600-700hp,600ft/lbs tq 572 have a smooth tq curve nice and even threw the band ,502 have a nice tq curve also

Just going by valve covers & NOS setup i seen motor when hood was up at vernon Tx Aug 2008 drag race when it was named ""cash for clunkers"" then !

He left hood up windows down & nobody stuck head inside because of the blue heeler w/ bandana inside !

Has widen rear wheels & rollbar under camper shell !

Was shocked when he made 1st pass & then understood when you look over truck !

502 or 572 .. either way it runs better than it looks !

It's absolutely outstanding that he doesn't care about the exterior. I had some friends back in the late '60s and early '70s that had 2 plain looking Dodge Darts with the Slant 6cyl. and they'd race the guys with the "hot" cars for the pink slip. They had quite a collection of cars!

@1991FordLTD caddy had a 501 and a 502 before GM purchased the company, if its a crate motor, then it was already bored out to the 502 which is not all that decides cubic inches, your stroke also comes into play.

@SlayerofFiction ...LOL, Caddy had a 472 and a 500 for several years while under the GM umbrella, GM bought Cadillac in 1909,472's and 500's were late 60's and early 70's engines ....Chevy sells a 502 crate motor.....and yes, it takes bore and stroke to figure cubic inches and nothing has ever been bored out to a 502 bore size, that would be 41.83 feet across the top of the piston......slayeroffiction my @ss
